Talking about Human Development is a subject that I am passionate about and that undoubtedly excites me. For some years now, reflecting on human development has become an almost daily task because it is my professional field.
Today I thank my dear best friend @filoriologo for inviting me to be part of this initiative, because I really wanted to talk about it, because when I entered Hive the first thing I thought was "we are doing human development", but why? To begin with I want to give you an overview, with this definition
Human Development is a development paradigm that goes far beyond the increase or decrease of a country's income. It encompasses the creation of an environment in which people can develop their full potential and lead productive and creative lives in accordance with their needs and interests. Quote from UNDP
In my own opinion, I believe that without freedoms there can be no development. And to exercise them there must be minimum conditions in the environment, which after my reflections and of course supported by the theory that has shown that among the main freedoms we could mention the political, social and of course economic freedoms, already leaving much to be desired and reflected upon for our Latin American countries. Undoubtedly, talking about human development unleashes a thread of definitions that are essential to understand its complexity and I am pleased to show you an approach of what I have been finding (if you would like to go deeper into this topic I would recommend you to read Amartya Sen one of the theorists of human development who better defines this topic of freedoms).
To understand the concept, it is essential to mention freedoms and opportunities because it is to hit the target when referring to this type of development, which surpasses the traditional way of looking at development from the point of view of capital or economic growth. And speaking of this, another tangible reality in our countries is that in conventional jobs, based on economic growth has proven to bear very little fruit, and even in the professional area, exhaustion and fatigue are often felt, complying with absurd schedules that really limit the full development of our freedoms and prevent us from fully satisfying our needs.
Very well, speaking of freedoms, there is a theorist with whom I clicked in my professional training and that was Manfred A. Max-Neef with his book "Development on a human scale: Concepts, applications and some reflections". In it, freedom is presented as a need and among other needs such as subsistence, protection, affection, understanding, participation, leisure, creation and identity, each one as important as the other and defined by being, having, doing and being. Why do I talk about this? When I entered hive I could notice that there were people who were being able to satisfy most of their needs through hive.
Venezuela is going through one of its biggest political, economic and social crises, which has brought endless consequences in the Venezuelan society and conventional jobs are becoming stricter and less remunerated. And as for the space to do extra activities, they are just a longing and I personally believe that leisure as a necessity is often denied, and this has a value beyond a time to hardly rest, it is quality time to distract and undoubtedly allow us to take care of our mental health. Now, web 2 somehow tries to give people that space by providing entertainment and fun; however, it is not everything. With the entry of the web 3, based on blockchain technology, which allows us not only to have a space for entertainment and fun but it is shown as a way to meet needs. Sounds crazy? I know, but it is tangible and especially for countries that somehow have fewer opportunities within their territories and in virtual space has opened a way.
I will explain better by talking directly about hive, a web 3 platform that has definitely broken old paradigms. The experience being part of HIVE has allowed me to enjoy its benefits in which a community space is provided in which we have the freedom to create and innovate and also be rewarded through cryptocurrencies for doing exactly something that nourishes us and satisfies many of the basic needs, and it is not precisely because of the economic factor.
Taking into account Max-Neef's definition I will describe some of the needs that may be being satisfied through Hive. The subsistence, in that it is presented as a way to obtain income, the affect; it allows us to reinforce our self-esteem, cultivate respect, solidarity, generosity by establishing friendship connections through the communities and connections within the platform. And well, referring to the need for creation, we have a space for artistic expression and an arena for creation and feedback. In terms of leisure, a space to have fun, reflect and play. As for participation, through Hive, we enjoy a space for interaction that allows us to be participative, cooperative, establishing communities and as for identity we have the possibility to feel part of something and at the same time recognize ourselves. Can you appreciate most of its benefits?
It seems to me something really incredible, a space undoubtedly full of many opportunities and that counts with the support of people who continue adding and making HIVE grow more and more every day.
I would like to close with the following reflection, the life that each one chooses must have reasons to value it, and that is what I constantly see in Hive people from our countries who can fulfill dreams and who work, have fun, open businesses, worry about the common good, train, acquire new skills, travel as a family and definitely do what they are passionate about, undoubtedly creating and choosing ways of living with much value for each one.
I have worked in the area of social research in recent years and it would be interesting to do a study that would yield tangible data on the impact that Hive has had on the lives of those who live on the platform and are our countries, considering the complexity of each of their realities, Hive is definitely a great opportunity that is lived in community.

Hablar de Desarrollo Humano, es un tema que me apasiona y que sin duda hablarles de ello me emociona. Desde hace algunos años reflexionar en torno al desarrollo humano se volvió una tarea casi diaria porque es mi campo profesional.
Hoy agradezco a mi querido mejor amigo @filoriologo por invitarme a ser parte de esta iniciativa, porque tenía muchas ganas de hablar del tema, porque cuando entre en Hive sin duda lo primero que pensé fue "estamos haciendo desarrollo humano", pero ¿porque? Para comenzar les quiero dar un panorama, con esta definición
El Desarrollo Humano es un paradigma de desarrollo que va mucho más allá del aumento o la disminución de los ingresos de un país. Comprende la creación de un entorno en el que las personas puedan desarrollar su máximo potencial y llevar adelante una vida productiva y creativa de acuerdo con sus necesidades e intereses. A juicio propio, considero que sin libertades no hay desarrollo. Y para ejercerlas deben existir condiciones mínimas en el entorno, que luego de mis reflexiones y por supuesto apoyada en la teoría que han demostrado que entre las principales libertades se pudiera mencionar las políticas, sociales y por supuesto económicas, ya dejando mucho que desear y reflexionar para nuestros países latinoamericanos. Sin dudas, hablar de desarrollo humano, va desatando un hilo de definiciones que son esenciales para entender su complejidad y estoy complacida de mostrarles un acercamiento de lo que he ido constatando. (si quisieran seguir ahondando en este tema les recomendaría leer Amartya Sen uno de los teóricos del desarrollo humano quien define mejor este tema de libertades).
Para comprender el concepto, es indispensable mencionar las libertades y oportunidades porque es darle en el blanco al referirnos a este tipo de desarrollo, que supera a la tradicional manera de ver al desarrollo desde el capital o crecimiento económico. Y hablando de ello, otra realidad tangible en nuestros países es que en los trabajos convencionales, basado en el crecimiento económico ha demostrado rendir muy pocos frutos, y aún en el área profesional suele sentirse el agotamiento y el cansancio cumpliendo con horarios absurdos que realmente limitan el pleno de desarrollo de nuestras libertades y nos impiden la plena satisfacción de nuestras necesidades.
Muy bien, hablando de las libertades hay un teórico con el que hice click en mi formación profesional y fue Manfred A. Max-Neef con su libro "Desarrollo a escala humana: Conceptos, aplicaciones y algunas reflexiones". En el que justamente la libertad se presenta como una necesidad y entre otras como la subsistencia, protección, afecto, entendimiento, participación, ocio, creación e identidad cada una igual de importante que en la otra y definidas por el ser, tener, hacer y estar. ¿Porque les hablo de esto? Al entrar en hive pude notar que había personas que estaban siendo capaces de satisfacer la mayoría de sus necesidades a través de hive.
Venezuela vive una de sus mayores crisis a nivel político, económico y social lo que ha traído un sin fin de consecuencias en la sociedad venezolana y los trabajos convencionales cada vez son más estrictos y menos remunerados. Y en cuanto al espacio para hacer actividades extras, son solo una añoranza y creo personalmente que el ocio como una necesidad en muchas ocasiones es renegado, y este posee un valor más allá de un tiempo a duras penas de descanso, se trata de tiempo de calidad para distraerse y sin dudas permitirá cuidar de nuestra salud mental. Ahora bien, la web 2 de alguna manera intenta que las personas tengan ese espacio brindando entretenimiento y diversión; sin embargo, no lo es todo. Con la entrada de la web 3, basada en tecnología blockchain, la cual nos permite no solo tener un espacio de entretenimiento y diversión sino que se muestra como manera para satisfacer necesidades. ¿Suena descabellado? lo sé, pero es tangible y sobre todo para los países que de alguna manera poseen menos oportunidades dentro de sus territorios y en espacio virtual se ha abierto un camino.
Les explico mejor hablando directamente de hive, una plataforma de la web 3 que definitivamente ha roto antiguos paradigmas. La experiencia siendo parte de HIVE me ha permitido gozar de sus bondades en las que se brinda un espacio comunitario en el que tenemos la libertad de crear e innovar y además ser recompensados a través de criptomonedas por realizar exactamente algo que nos nutre y satisface muchas de las necesidades básicas, y no es precisamente por el factor económico.
Tomando en cuenta la definición de Max-Neef describiré algunas de las necesidades que pueden estar siendo satisfecha a través de Hive. La subsistencia, en cuanto a que se presenta como una manera de obtener ingresos, el afecto; nos permite reforzar nuestra autoestima, cultivar el respeto, la solidaridad, generosidad estableciendo conexiones de amistad a través de las comunidades y conexiones dentro de la plataforma. Y bien, refiriéndonos a la necesidad de creación, tenemos un espacio de expresión artística y un ámbito de creación y retroalimentación. En cuanto al ocio, un espacio para divertirnos, reflexionar y jugar. En cuanto, a la participación, a través de Hive, se goza de un espacio de interacción que nos permite ser participativos, cooperativos, estableciendo comunidades y en cuanto a la identidad tenemos la posibilidad de sentirnos parte de algo y a su vez reconocernos a nosotros mismo. ¿Logran apreciar la mayoría de sus bondades?
Me parece algo realmente increíble, un espacio sin dudas lleno de muchas oportunidades y que cuenta con el apoyo de personas que siguen sumando y haciendo crecer cada día más a HIVE.
Me gustaría cerrar con la siguiente reflexión, la vida que cada uno escoja debe tener motivos para valorarla, y es lo que constantemente veo en Hive personas de nuestros países que pueden cumplir sueños y que trabaja, se divierte, abre negocios, se preocupa por el bien común, se capacita, adquieren nuevas habilidades, viajan en familia y definitivamente hacen lo que les apasiona, sin duda creando y escogiendo formas de vivir con mucho valor para cada uno.
Me he desempeñado en área de la investigación social en los últimos años y estaría interesante hacer un estudio que arrojen datos tangibles sobre el impacto que ha representado Hive en las vidas de quienes hacen vida en la plataforma y son nuestros países considerando todo lo complejo de cada de sus realidades, definitivamente Hive es una gran oportunidad que se vive en comunidad.
