this poster by Käpt'n Kalle is based on the iconography of depictions of saints. one word, one question:
holy?
if the noise of the media world stops, questions are coming:
where do i come from?
where am i going?
but what -
if I am holy?
until today, people get nervous when someone claims that a person is divine. even worse, when someone comes straight to the point and claims that he belongs to the GODS or is GOD. in the bible, it is reported that such a statement was the reason for the death of an innocent man, although at the time he was merely quoting an existing passage. this reference to the divine origin of man promptly led to the wrath of the religious leadership. to this day, it seems to be important at the highest level that man's true identity remains veiled. so he thinks death is the end and is afraid, ducks away, accepts dubious authorities and staggers around, allows himself to be pushed around and is happily to be enslaved. are GODS mortal or do they pay taxes?
why does man believe so vehemently that he is an insignificant product of chance - descended from apes? what changes with the conviction of being a divine, holy being? is it because of the responsibility that would come with it? who is in command of our ship of life?
an die ikonografie von heiligendarstellungen lehnt sich dieses kürzlich in heiligenhafen platzierte plakat von Käpt'n Kalle an. ein wort, eine frage:
heilig?
schweigt das rauschen der medialen welt, dann kommen fragen wie:
wo komme ich her?
wo gehe ich hin?
doch was -
wenn ich heilig bin?
bis heute werden menschen nervös wenn jemand behauptet, dass das menschliche wesen göttlich sei. schlimmer noch wenn direkt jemand auf den punkt kommt und behauptet er gehöre zu den GÖTTERN oder sei GOTT. in den erzählungen in der bibel wird davon berichtet, dass eine solche äußerung der grund, für den tod eines unschuldigen gewesen sei, dabei hat dieser damals lediglich nur eine bereits vorhandene passage zitiert. dieser verwies, auf die göttliche abstammung des menschen, führte promt zum zorn der religiösen führung. bis heute scheint auf höchster ebene daran gelegen, dass des menschen wahrhaftige identität verschleiert bleibt. so meint dieser, der tod sei das ende und fürchtet sich, duckt sich weg, akzeptiert zweifelhafte autoritäten und taumelt entwurzelt auf irrwegen umher, lässt sich herumschubsen sowie freudig versklaven. sind GÖTTER etwa sterblich oder zahlen steuern?
warum glaubt der mensch so vehement, ein unbedeutendes - vom affen abstammendes - zufallsprodukt zu sein? die wissenschaft hat sich hin und wieder schoneinmal geirrt. was ändert sich mit der überzeugung ein göttliches, heiliges wesen zu sein? liegt es an der verantwortung, die damit einherginge? wer hat das kommando auf unserem schiff des lebens?
