Mateo Manaure es el nombre de uno de los artistas de arte moderno más importantes de Venezuela, a lo largo de su vida generó obras de una importancia extraordinaria y de una calidad sin precedentes, el arte abstracto era su especialidad y con base en ello le aportó a la Ciudad Universitaria de Caracas una colección invaluable, las cuales se destacan por su espíritu atrevido, sus exquisitos acabados y lo más importante de todo es que estas piezas se encuentran al alcance de los transeúntes, sin vallas, sin cercas, sin vidrios, puesto que forman parte de un conjunto arquitectónico y cultural que busca estar a la par de los transeúntes y que en cierta forma la idea es que todo el conjunto se mezcle con su entorno y al mismo tiempo genere esa calidez y esa belleza que es realmente única.

Como es típico dentro de la Ciudad Universitaria de Caracas la pieza que les traigo el día de hoy es una obra de carácter Monumental, la cual no tiene título y, por lo tanto, sus formas, dimensiones y colores representan un viaje a través del arte, el cual puede ser interpretado por de una manera distinta por la persona que lo observa, lo que en mi parecer genera un mayor sentimiento y al mismo tiempo una mejor relación del individuo con la pieza artística.

Este a pesar de ser uno de los murales más grandes también es uno de los menos conocidos, puesto que se encuentra a las espaldas de la Plaza del Rectorado, un lugar poco concurrido y en donde a lo largo de los años esta pieza ha permanecido a la espera de aquellos intrépidos ojos que lo observen y la detalle, personalmente me gusta mucho su diseño, adoro las figuras geométricas que se muestran en su superficie y al mismo tiempo me parece fantástica la elección de los colores sobre ese impecable fondo blanco, sin duda alguna es una pieza artística de gran trascendencia y la cual vale la pena observarla, disfrutarla y vivirla.
