STREET ART #158 – New Year's Eve in Buenos Aires, Argentina

01.jpg

Buenos Aires has so much amazing street art. This goes for for both the very small, simple paintings, to huge murals full of details. I have already done several posts from this city, but I still have a lot more. My sister and I spent only three days in this beautiful city, before we were off to the northeast corner of Argentina. Even though it was New Years Eve we didn’t let the chance to find great street art let go. Actually it’s more a coinsidence that we passed street art on that particular afternoon.

We started in a street not to far from the restaurant. These were some of the first painted walls we came across. This is very similar to the well known Gustav Klimt painting. Almost as a copy of one his known paintings.

This beautiful muralt is huge. There was a fence that made it impossible for us to get close enough to take good photos... I did walk back and forth to look for a better position, but had to give it up. I also had to divide it because of the size.

Since wer are used to New Year's Eve being cold and dark from early in the afternoon it was a complete different experience to be in Buenos Aires where it was summer. It was warm and the sun didn't go down before late at night.
