CCC's Street Art Contest #105: Revisiting Graffiti Alley

(I think this is a piece of art we can all appreciate! 😄 The caption reads, "Save The Big Fat Whales")

After more than a year since our last visit, my boyfriend and I went out to Toronto, Ontario to check out Graffiti Alley! This is a hotspot for street art, done by both professionals and newbies. It is an area that the city has specifically reserved for graffiti and street art!

A lot can change in a year, especially in Toronto, of all places! 😄 It is safe to say that nearly all of the pieces that were there prior have now been replaced. Unfortunately, many go unidentified as well, because of how frequently the art changes.. Regardless, here are just a few of the pieces we managed to capture 🙂

(You have a call from Death... Will you accept the charges? 💀)

(This mural was done in tribute to veteran graffiti artist, Mike Kennedy {1973-2017}. The artwork was done by Nick Sweetman & Wales Ack, with lettering done by Mr. Tenseo)

(They also included Mike's dog! 🥺)

(I had trouble figuring out what this one is, but I believe it is a grotesque-looking nun?! 😱 Extremely creepy, but I love the style..)

(Love this piece! I love the modern take on a classic piece, The Creation Of Adam. It was difficult to capture, but in the middle of the hands, reads the text, "YOU ARE HERE")
