Hi dear fellow hiveans!
I hope you are all well, like me.
My mood is extra good as yesterday was exactly 1 year since my little son was born and I became the proudest father in the World.
It was quite a journey past year, very different from everything I knew before and it can't be compared with anything. The most importantly we are all healthy and my wish to the son is only to remain like this, all other things will follow...
Today we are celebrating his birthday with friends and family at a picnic place, so I have a really busy day ahead of me, but it will be my pleasure of course.
This post is a continue of my Tour de Slovenia series and is dedicated to Engage On Hive initiative which I saw at @galenkp. It is an writing initiative which request your personal effort mainly on passion and personality.
It offers two delegations of 2000 HP for a month, so reward is really tempting and generous. Thank you for hosting that initiative and building our World even greater.
To connect with a numbers for a bit as well. 2000 HP would be a massive add as it will more than double down my current HP at around 1350. I am that small, but I am growing as from first day on Hive I gained almost 1000 HP, which is amazing number for me and I am grateful for everyone helped me achieved this number.
It might happen also, that I will break reputation number 65 with this post and achieve another milestone.
Now let’s go to the actual content of the post.
If you are my regular follower by now you already know that I am presenting my home country Slovenia in parts, like I am visiting places. Till now there are three parts all from vicinity of Kranjska Gora. Response was very good and many people can't wait that all borders opens and they will be able to see Slovenian beauties by their own eyes.
I have to admit as well that I rather use photography over writing for my story telling as in my opinion I am better at it :)
In this part I will be sharing photos from Blejski Vintgar, English Vintgar Gorge.
It is located near Bled which is probably most famous Slovenian tourist attraction and it is really nice, but I prefer a bit more quiet places so my visit to Vintgar Gorge few days ago was just the right thing to rest my mind for a bit.
We went there with my family so baby was on me in a carrier and that is my excuse for photography not being at its best as it should be from place that nice. All photos were taken by my smartphone and that means I have one reason more to revisit the gorge in near future and take some photos with my "real" camera.
After parking the car and paying entrance fee (10 EUR), path starts to be interesting immediately. What I like the most is that it goes just above the water and by the rocky walls. It gives you a feeling of being connected with nature. You can feel the mist of the cascades and low noise level gives you opportunity to hear birds for extra relaxation.
Trail is just about 2 kilometers long and best additional description will be by photos below.
Usually return is by the same trail, but now with these Covid-19 measures you can not return the same way and this was maybe even the better part of our trip as it contains element of surprise and the way back was really beautiful. Firstly you are going through the woods a little uphill, but nothing too serious. After about half hour hike you come to an open place with beautiful view all the way to Bled Castle.
There is a church as well, but it was being maintained at the time of our visit, so photography could be better.
Another highlight was path returning to the parking lot as you are walking at the hill with a great view on the villages below and sheep are walking freely beside you. That was really great experience for our young one as he learned how to do bee-bee and he communicated with the animals :)
Overall an amazing one day trip which was probably even better these days where there is no tourists and personal touch with nature is stronger.
Now enough of me talking, lets go to photos...
Hope you liked my today's photo story. When you will be at Bled, don't forget about the Gorge and also Bohinj lake is beautiful and nearby. I haven't been there yet this year, but hopefully I will go soon and will share that with you here on Hive as well.
Now I have to go enjoying my day with my family.
Take care guys and thank you for stopping by!
