(PT-EN) Temporal Master

#PT first, #EN depois

ATRIBUTOS DO CARD UTILIZADO

Nome: TEMPORAL MASTER

Mana: 3 unidades

Splinter: LIFE

Edição: CHAOS EDITION

Raridade: ÉPICA

Habilidades:

MEU TIME

TIME ADVERSÁRIO

O adversário escolheu um time misto.

A derrota estava decretada.

#PT first, #EN later

Hey guys, @CrazyPhantomBR in the area! My participation in the Weekly Battle Challenge, of what is the best game in the #hive #play2earn ecosystem that exists!! #Splinterlands!!

This post is a submission to the Weekly Media Challenge Splinterlands!

As usual, I will continue to do the weekly media challenge with sharing and commenting on battles. I believe it is very productive and serves the purpose of placing the game in the trending topics.

This time we're going to apply a card on the battlefield that I don't usually use: Temporal Master, so I had to rent one so as not to jeopardize the collection of Focus Point in an eventual victory.

PURPOSE

Since I'm not used to using this card, my goal is to really test it out in the field and later evaluate if it fits my style of play.

For this, I start by warning that the splinter Life is not part of my favorites, so I don't have a good practice with it. Still, I keep a summoner to make possible the eventual game.

RULESET

CLOSE RANGE: Ranged attack can be performed in first position.
HEALED OUT: All healing abilities are removed from summoners and monsters.

ATTRIBUTES OF THE USED CARD

Name: TEMPORAL MASTER

Mana: 3 units

Splinter: LIFE

Editing: CHAOS EDITION

Rarity: EPIC

Skills:
  • RECHARGE: Charges in one round and attacks in the next round, dealing 3x base damage.

Well, I don't have this card, I ended up renting it at level 3.

MARKET VALUE

According to the SplinterCards website, this card at Level 1 is being traded today for U$0.26 per bcx, that is, to get it at Level 4 we need 10 bcx, which makes its value U. $2.60. As for rental, we found it at Level 4 for 3.5 DEC, which is also a high value, in my opinion. The value of the card has stabilized over time and today it was around the U$0.29 center a few months ago, which signals that it has reached its real value.

In this chart provided by SplinterCards.com, we can see this stabilization in prices. The number of cards in circulation is 35,000 out of a total universe of 89,000 cards in print. Keep this in mind when evaluating card purchases, as well as time to market. The peak point reached just over $0.65 per bcx!!!

MY OPINION ABOUT THE CARD

I don't like the idea of having a card that attacks one round and rests in the next (reloads). I already start looking a little without interest in Temporal Master. Also, I see that your base magic attack is only one point at the level I play at. This tells us that when he attacks, his strength will be 3 magic damage.

By attacking every two rounds, we can consider that this card has a magic damage of 3/2 = 1.5 magic damage per round. Little, we have better options.

ATTRIBUTES

Its 3 mana cost is average for the damage it deals and the health it has. Since I play with Level 3 summoners, there's no need to level up beyond level 2. That means I was too quick to rent this card at level 4.

Analyzing the evolution of attributes, only at level 6 does the Temporal Master acquire a second skill, which is Stun, which is very attractive, but because it attacks every two rounds, added to the probability of hitting, it practically makes useless.

MY TEAM

This battle took place today, in the SILVER I league (Modern mode) and can be watched via this link: https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sl_4ee5f4a7138b8b4ee16548e3cdc4b051&ref=crazyphantombr

First I opted for a summoner that would grant me extra shield. Then, I chose to take the Pelacor Conjurer in front, aiming to evade some attacks, followed by Soul Fiend, Venari Crystalsmith, Temporal Master doing his test, Herbalist and finally Xenith Archer.

ADVERSARY TEAM

The opponent chose a mixed team. This choice completely affected the dynamics of the battle as I couldn't eliminate the opposing tank Chaos Knight, which has one of the highest sums of shields and health.

The image above shows the opening of Round 1, after applying the summoners' speed and shields buffs. Analyzing the opponent's attack, resistant to melee and ranged damage, among all my monsters only the Temporal Master would be able to inflict damage. Defeat was decreed.

My situation is very serious, because while my team was severely hit, the opposing tank only took damage every two rounds by the Temporal Master.

In this Round my card is eliminated and the game ends for me, with the defeat.

The game ends up leaving the lesson that my summoner's choice was decisive for my defeat. At the same time, it demonstrated that the rated Temporal Master card can be used in diverse scenarios, such as against Chaos Knight-style tough tanks.
