Hearing the Word of God or the teachings of the word of God is not the main issue, the main issue is what kind of heart are we using to receive the teachings? The Word of God has been taught from generation after generation. The Bible has been interpreted in virtually all the languages of the world. But yet wickedness and unrighteousness keep increasing on a daily basis. The world turns hotter and hotter everyday. That is why I ask this question: with what kind of heart are you receiving the doctrines?
We have been blessed by the #mcgi care hive who brought us the teaching sessions of the Mass Indoctrination of the Members Church Of God. Bro Eli Soriano has been teaching us just as he hears from the Bible. He explained to us the doctrines of the Lord Jesus Christ as He gave them to the church.
The kind of heart that we receive the word of God with determines how fruitful we will be. In the course of the Mass Indoctrination, Bro Eli Soriano has explained to us the four kinds of hearts who receive the Word of God.
Matthew 13:3-8 (KJV) And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:
Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
The Wayside Heart
The wayside heart is like the wayside soil. Every seed that enters that soil does not bring fruits. When the seed falls on it, the birds of the air come and eat up the seed. This is the kind of heart who hears the Word of God but the devil steals it away before it could think of bearing fruit.
The Stony Heart
The stony heart is likened to the stony ground. The stony soil does not have enough sand to support the roots of the plant. It is hardened. In the same way, the stony heart is hardened and not willing to yield to the Word of God.
The Thorny Heart
The thorny heart is like the thorny soil. The farmers understand that weeds choke the crops and do not allow them to grow well. The thorny heart is overgrown with the cares of this world and material things. The cares choke the Word and does not allow it to bear fruits.
The Good Heart
The good heart is the good soil. The seeds germinate and grow well. They bear fruits in hundred-folds, sixty-folds and thirty-folds. Let us receive the doctrines as the good soil. Let us clear our hearts of weeds and unrepentance.
