A lot of Christians are faced with the problem of finding out what God's will is in their relationships or marriages. Brother Eli teaches that what a wise person should look for in possible marriage partners is prudence. What exactly is prudence and where does it come from?

Proverbs 19 gives us the foundation that - A prudent wife is a gift from God. Proper prudence can be shown this way which instead of originating from human understanding, it is a spiritual knowledge given by God Himself. But what differentiates worldly and heavenly prudence?

Brother Eli Reveals in 1 Corinthians - The Lord will destroy the wisdom of those who are cautious in their own understanding. Being smart simply won’t cut it if you want to be a prudent person. True prudence therefore dictates that we base our entire lives on the Bible’s teachings

But what distinguishes one type of prudence from another? A closer look at the differences makes more sense.

Worldly wisdom comes from man’s mind and his ability to reason things out rationally based on information perceived through experience, common sense, lifestyle reviews and other human faculties. While such prudence may win in earthly matter, it is limited by miles and falls short of God's standards.

However, godly prudence is informed by knowledge that comes from God dwelling in the Bible. It transcends human reasoning to encompass spiritual insights and discernment only possible through personal acquaintance with Jesus.

Worldly prudence focuses on temporary success and solving problems as its main priorities, while godly prudence thinks more about obedience to God than anything else. Worldly prudence acts selfishly; on the other hand, godly prudence considers the effects of decisions on others. Worldly prudence depends entirely on human understanding; but biblical knowledge combined with divine leading constitutes godly wisdom.

In dating’s case worldly prudence might show off charm, ambition or street smarts really well but godly prudence will exhibit itself in humility, patience, kindness and concern for one’s partner’s spiritual growth. It avoids foolish risks or behaviors unwise for a believer.

Through understanding these distinctions better believers can be saved from being misled by mere appearance of worldly prudence. Godly prudence is wisdom that is only made by Christ's leading oriented heart.

Brother Eli tells us that based on biblical principles, there are two main ways to examine your dating partner.

Look first at the source of their wisdom. Does it show a genuine spiritual insight that only comes from abiding in God’s word or do they just rely on worldly perspectives? A wise person will have insights and views that are clearly molded by scripture.

Secondly, see how they make life decisions and handle different challenges and situations. Do they think about obeying God first before anything else and what impact their choices might have on others or is their focus selfishly concentrated only on what benefits them? A wise individual cannot act impulsively or make unwise decisions which dishonor their relationship with Christ.

In case someone is not sure whether these qualities of prudence exist, Brother Eli has some profound advice. If you don’t see prudence after reflective observation, don’t hurry up into the affair. Trust that even if it surprises our expectations, God’s perfect timing is always right on target. Love can take an unexpected course.

Believers seeking marriage can get much-needed clarity concerning their spouses’ prudence and discerning God’s will for a future romantic relationship through Brother Eli's teachings. His advice offers a rational basis for this crucial life decision.
