The work of God helps man to change from bad or worse behaviour to do good.
From the Holy Bible in Roman 2: 3 and
Philippians 2:13, we are made to understand that, it is God who works good will in man. The desire of man to have the intention to do good comes from above. Naturally man wants to do earthly things.
The scriptures goes on to say that, mans desire should start with God not the pleasure of this world.
We are entreated do his good pleasure not our earthly desire, God gives us the intention to do Good and to know the things about God.
Colossians 3:1
Teaches us in the scriptures that God made man to dwell and take dominion of the Earth and also to seek him and worship him, our affection should be on God not on earthly pleasure of this world. It is busy to invite people God because of luxury and man's duty to look for earthly pleasures.
It is our obligation to seek and know God and draw nearer to him, he is not far from us if we seek him.
Acts 17:28 directs us to seek the Lord, for in Him we live and love and also have our being.
Matthew 13: 3-5
We were taught that Jesus was teaching the people and he gave them a parable about the sower who sowed, some seed fell by the roadside, some on Stony grounds, some on thorns and some on the Good ground which brought forth fruit. God used this parable to address the heart of man as they receive the good word of God. No matter the kind of heart you have, we have hope in Christ because God is powerful to change our heart.
I learnt that if we subject our being to God, God can change our heart and brings us to His eternal love and glory in the days ahead.
What kind of people are we ?
I learnt that there are four kind of men in this world, Jesus explain it in Luke 8: 11-15
A man with a heart of the seed that fell on the roadside. The devil has access to such person. The devil manipulate such person twhen the word is given to him.
A man with a rocky heart, which is very stubborn to God's word, the word doesn't have effects on him and cannot penetrate or do something meaningful in his heart.
A man who with a thorny heart has a lot of earthly ambition and desire for the pleasure of this world.
A man who has a good heart and very honest hears the word and it able to have impact and as a result is able to bring forth fruit.
No matter how bad you think you are, God is in the business of fixing the afflicted and broken hearted, just seek him and you will save. Apostle Paul in Act 22: 4 was a persecutor of the apostles or followers of Jesus Christ, his heart was full of evil but still our Lord Jesus Christ was able to fix his heart and he became a great assert to the kingdomof God.
The spirit of God should guide us so we are not swayed by satan and his lies.
