When we stop committing ourselves to God's truth, the reality is that we miss out on the best that God has for us.
This, then, I say and require in the Lord: that you no longer walk like other Gentiles, who walk in the vanity of their minds, 18 having their understanding darkened, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, for the hardness of his heart; 19 who, after they lost all feeling, gave themselves over to lasciviousness to greedily commit all kinds of impurity. 20 But you have not thus learned Christ, 21 if you have truly heard him, and have been taught by him, according to the truth that is in Jesus. 22 As for the past way of living, put off the old man, which is corrupted according to deceitful desires, 23 and renew yourselves in the spirit of your mind, 24 and put on the new man, created according to God in the righteousness and holiness of the truth.
25 Therefore, rejecting lies, speak truth each one with his neighbor; for we are members one of another.
There are phrases like: "Nobody gives importance to what they have when they lose it", in a room we only value a lamp when it burns out, when it no longer works and we need to find something in the room while it is in the dark. The same happens with the truth of the word of God and this may be absent in our lives for different reasons: When we live excessively worried about superficial things, we are trapped in an emotional prison, when we are not only exposed, it is when we give rise to doctrines of mistake. We are separated, far from the truth and we stagnate in spiritual development, we do not walk in God's ways and we get frustrated wanting to blame others or God himself.
All of this causes a lot of trouble and not trying to get closer to the truth complicates our lives progressively. we must be sincere as in any relationship, otherwise everything collapses, sincerity begins with ourselves, God wants us to approach the truth of his word and live by it, he wants us to develop our full potential in Christ.
Let us remember that if we have the truth, the power of God develops in us, let us remember what Paul says:
and put on the new man, created according to God in justice and true holiness.
Ephesians 4:24
God desires that we live in his truth, that we walk with the Lord and thus be able to enjoy all the blessings that have been reserved for us!

Cuando dejamos de comprometernos con la verdad de Dios la realidad es que nos perdemos de lo mejor que Dios tiene para nosotros.
Esto, pues, digo y requiero en el Señor: que ya no andéis como los otros gentiles, que andan en la vanidad de su mente, 18 teniendo el entendimiento entenebrecido, ajenos de la vida de Dios por la ignorancia que en ellos hay, por la dureza de su corazón; 19 los cuales, después que perdieron toda sensibilidad, se entregaron a la lascivia para cometer con avidez toda clase de impureza. 20 Mas vosotros no habéis aprendido así a Cristo, 21 si en verdad le habéis oído, y habéis sido por él enseñados, conforme a la verdad que está en Jesús. 22 En cuanto a la pasada manera de vivir, despojaos del viejo hombre, que está viciado conforme a los deseos engañosos, 23 y renovaos en el espíritu de vuestra mente, 24 y vestíos del nuevo hombre, creado según Dios en la justicia y santidad de la verdad.
25 Por lo cual, desechando la mentira, hablad verdad cada uno con su prójimo; porque somos miembros los unos de los otros.
Existen frases como: "Nadie da importancia a lo que tiene cuando lo pierde", en una habitación recién valoramos una lámpara cuando se quema, cuando ya no funciona y necesitamos encontrar algo en la habitación estando en plena oscuridad. Lo mismo sucede con la verdad de la palabra de Dios y esta puede estar ausente en nuestras vidas por diferentes razones: Cuando vivimos preocupados desmesuradamente en cosas superficiales, estamos atrapados en una cárcel emocional, cuando no solo somos expuestos, es cuando damos lugar a doctrinas de error. Estamos apartados, lejos de la verdad y nos estancamos en el desarrollo espiritual, no andamos en los caminos de Dios y nos frustramos queriendo echar la culpa a otros o a Dios mismo.
Todo esto acarrea muchos disgustos y no tratar de acercarnos a la verdad complica nuestra vida de manera progresiva. debemos ser sinceros como en cualquier relación, de no ser así todo se derrumba, la sinceridad comienza con nosotros mismos, Dios desea que nos acerquemos a la verdad de su palabra y vivamos por ella, desea que desarrollemos todo nuestro potencial en Cristo.
Recordemos que si tenemos la verdad, se desarrolla la potencia de Dios en nosotros, recordemos lo que dice Pablo:
y vestíos del nuevo hombre, creado según Dios en la justicia y santidad de la verdad.
Efesios 4:24
Dios desea que vivamos en su verdad, que caminemos junto al Señor y así poder disfrutar de todas las bendiciones que han sido reservadas para nosotros!
Efesios 4:17-25
