There are times when even a sleepless night can be a sign that God wants to speak to us because He has something to tell us.
That same night the king could not sleep, and he ordered the book of records and chronicles to be brought to him and read in his presence. 2 Then they found it written that Mordecai had reported the plot of Bigthan and Teresh, two of the king's eunuchs, who were the guards at the door, who had sought to lay hands on King Ahasuerus. 3 Then the king said, "What honor or what distinction has been given to Mordecai for this?" And the king's servants and his officers answered, "Nothing has been done to him." 4 Then the king said, "Who is there in the courtyard?" Now Haman had come to the outer courtyard of the king's house to speak to the king to have Mordecai hanged on the gallows he had prepared for him. 5 Then the king's servants answered him, "Behold, Haman is standing in the courtyard." So the king said, "Let him go in." 6 So Haman went in. The king said to him, "What will be done for the man whom the king delights to honor?" And Haman said to himself, "Whom will the king delight to honor more than me?" 7 Then Haman said to the king, "For the man whom the king delights to honor, 8 bring the royal apparel that the king wears, and the horse that the king rides on, and the royal crown that is on his head; 9 and put the apparel and the horse into the hand of one of the king's most noble princes, and let them clothe the man whom the king delights to honor, and let them lead him on the horse through the street of the city and proclaim before him, 'Thus shall it be done for the man whom the king delights to honor.'" 10 Then the king said to Haman, "Hurry, take the robe and the horse, as you have said, and do so to Mordecai the Jew, who sits at the king's gate; do not omit anything of all that you have said." 11 Then Haman took the robe and the horse, and dressed Mordecai, and led him on horseback through the street of the city, and made a proclamation before him, 'Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delights to honor.'
Esther 6:1-11
I feel that we are too worried to be able to hear the voice of God, and God can do anything to heal our attention including disturbing our spirit. Let's look at the picture in the text above for a good example of this. We see that the king was awake and asked for the books of the chronicles to be brought to him so he could read and thanks to this he learned of a plot to assassinate him which had been foiled by a man named Mordecai.
There was something that the king was not aware of, and that was that his royal advisor, Haman, had his sights set on hanging Mordecai and not only that but at one point he had planned to kill all the Jews at Esther's request. The king's intervention not only gave Mordecai a voice, it also saved all the Jews.
This whole process began with a sleepless night. It was a night that the king was restless, meaning he couldn't sleep. We now understand what the reason was. God needed to get his attention in some way. God wanted to tell King Ahasuerus something very important. And on this occasion, the way God used it was by providing a sleepless night.
There are times when the Holy Spirit of God intervenes unexpectedly. A sleepless night can be a time when God wants to let us know something. Has this ever happened to you? If this has happened to you, it is important that you take advantage of that moment to ask God what He has to say to you. I am sure that God's answer will surprise you.

Hay momentos que inclusive una noche sin poder dormir puede ser una señal en que Dios nos quiere hablar ya que tiene algo para decirnos.
Aquella misma noche se le fue el sueño al rey, y dijo que le trajesen el libro de las memorias y crónicas, y que las leyeran en su presencia. 2 Entonces hallaron escrito que Mardoqueo había denunciado el complot de Bigtán y de Teres, dos eunucos del rey, de la guardia de la puerta, que habían procurado poner mano en el rey Asuero. 3 Y dijo el rey: ¿Qué honra o qué distinción se hizo a Mardoqueo por esto? Y respondieron los servidores del rey, sus oficiales: Nada se ha hecho con él.
4 Entonces dijo el rey: ¿Quién está en el patio? Y Amán había venido al patio exterior de la casa real, para hablarle al rey para que hiciese colgar a Mardoqueo en la horca que él le tenía preparada. 5 Y los servidores del rey le respondieron: He aquí Amán está en el patio. Y el rey dijo: Que entre. 6 Entró, pues, Amán, y el rey le dijo: ¿Qué se hará al hombre cuya honra desea el rey? Y dijo Amán en su corazón: ¿A quién deseará el rey honrar más que a mí? 7 Y respondió Amán al rey: Para el varón cuya honra desea el rey, 8 traigan el vestido real de que el rey se viste, y el caballo en que el rey cabalga, y la corona real que está puesta en su cabeza; 9 y den el vestido y el caballo en mano de alguno de los príncipes más nobles del rey, y vistan a aquel varón cuya honra desea el rey, y llévenlo en el caballo por la plaza de la ciudad, y pregonen delante de él: Así se hará al varón cuya honra desea el rey. 10 Entonces el rey dijo a Amán: Date prisa, toma el vestido y el caballo, como tú has dicho, y hazlo así con el judío Mardoqueo, que se sienta a la puerta real; no omitas nada de todo lo que has dicho. 11 Y Amán tomó el vestido y el caballo, y vistió a Mardoqueo, y lo condujo a caballo por la plaza de la ciudad, e hizo pregonar delante de él: Así se hará al varón cuya honra desea el rey.
Ester 6:1-11
Siento que estamos demasiado preocupados para poder escuchar la voz de Dios, y Dios puede hacer lo que sea para sanar nuestra atención inclusive inquietar nuestro espíritu. Veamos el cuadro en el texto anterior un buen ejemplo acerca de esto, Vemos que el rey estuvo desvelado y pidió que se le trajesen los libros de las crónicas para poder leer y gracias a esto se enteró de un complot de asesinato en contra suyo el cual había sido desbaratado por un hombre llamado Mardoqueo.
Había algo que el rey no estaba enterado, y era que su asesor real, Aman tenía en la mira colgar a Mardoqueo y no solo eso sino que en un momento tenía planeado matar a todos los judíos por petición de Ester. La intervención del rey no solamente esa voz a Mardoqueo, también salvó a todos los judíos.
Todo este proceso inició con una noche de insomnio fue una noche que el rey estaba inquieto o sea que no podía dormir, nosotros ahora comprendemos cuál era la razón, Dios necesitaba llamar su atención de alguna manera, Dios quería decirle algo demasiado importante al rey Asuero, Y en esta ocasión la forma que utilizó Dios era proporcionando una noche de insomnio.
Hay veces que el espíritu Santo de Dios interviene de manera inesperada, una noche de insomnio puede ser un momento en que Dios desea hacernos saber algo, ¿te ha sucedido alguna vez? Si te ha sucedido es importante que aproveches ese momento para preguntarle a Dios que es lo que tiene para decirte, estoy seguro que te sorprenderá la respuesta de Dios.
