In one of the sessions of the MCGI Mass Indoctrination, Bro Eli Soriano taught about the four types of hearts. He taught us this so that we could judge ourselves and know what kind of heart that is in us. In the lesson, he explained to us that those of us who come to listen to the doctrines are like the four different kinds of soil that Jesus illustrated in the parade of the sower.
Matthew 13:3-9 (KJV) And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:
Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
The Wayside Heart
The Wayside Heart is like the wayside soil. In the wayside soil, the birds came and aet up the seed that was in the soil and it didn't germinate.
According to Bro Eli Soriano, many of us are like the wayside soil. When we come and listen to the Word of God, the devil come and steal the Word which we have heard.
To avoid being a wayside heart, we should ensure that we do not allow intruders in thoughts and words into our minds. We should not let our hearts to be accessible by distracting thoughts.
The Stony Heart
The Stony Heart is like the stony ground. The stony ground could not support the seed that was planted in it because the ground didn't have enough sand to support the roots of the plant. The ground was stony.
When our hearts are stony, they won't be able to produce fruits from the Word of God which we are receiving. To bear fruits, let us receive the Word with simplicity.
The Thorny Heart
The thorny heart is like the ground that was full of thorns. The thorns choked the seeds and killed them.
When our minds are overgrown without worldly cares and worries, we will not be productive.
The Good Hearts
The good heart is the heart which receive the doctrines and obey them and bring forth fruits which are in multiple folds.
