They are not true God, they are false gods. They are made by man.
When a food is offered to idols the Holy Spirit forbids us to eat it. Idolatry is abominable by God.

It is an abomination to worship, pray or kneel before idols. It is wrong. The only one we should worship, pray and kneel to is God.
Leviticus 17:10 KJV
God did not want us to eat blood because blood is a sacred thing. It is prohibited to eat animals that are strangled because their blood was not pour out.
