The AbundanceTribe, formally know as TribeSteemUp community was created by @kennyskitchen. As we have moved to Hive we wanted to create a new name that really represents what we are all about. A Double Standard For Protests?

This post is a rambly mess of me trying to sort my thoughts. It's a rough draft. Be prepared for a mess. Maybe there's some wheat among the chaff though. A meme dump will follow at the end.
The American left/right divide is magnified whenever there is any form of protest. At the time of this post, there are numerous protests across the country over the murder of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police.
These protests are for a valid cause.

The covid-19 pandemic has changed the entire planet overnight, in the sense that some industries that we took for granted and that have been there since the day we were born, are disappearing, morphing or about to vanish forever. Who of us could have imagined at the start of 2020 that by the end of the year, we may never do or see those things ever again? Let’s look at some examples of how the old models are falling away and new paradigms are emerging.

Healing the effects of violence: Love is the answer

Before I continue my answer I have to make explicit my personal definition of violence. Violence does not necessarily have to be manifested through physical aggression. To me, any act that seeks to guide someone into obeying a will that is not their own through any means other than comprehension and consciousness is violent.
Physical aggression is a form of violence, but so is manipulating, lying, using social pressure against someone and there are many laws that are violent as they force people to act in ways that are not natural to them.

Here's some footage I got at the BLM march here in Portland last night. The march started on the other side of town, went east down the interstate for a couple miles, then north up town, then down Alberta (the most gentrified street in town - all black business 15 years ago - 1 or 2 left.)
There were easily 5000 people, probably far more. It was shoulder to shoulder across the street, each row 2-3 feet apart, plus folks on the sidewalks, for more than 10 city blocks. I only heard one person make a comment about being 6' apart, and they were pretty well ignored.

We live in a world of division. Our society is fragmented and I believe that is on design. Essentially, it is unnatural which causes us a great deal of problems.
Nature is holistic. There is an connection throughout it all. For those who took the time to step back and analyze it, this is rather easy to see. Making Sense of the Gift of Discrimination

Just two days ago, I was enjoying a pineapple juice with my friend, Marc, and discussing the Black Lives Matter protests and his personal experiences of racism, growing up in Chicago. He and I go waaaay back - and have both a business relationship through his role as Manager of the multiple award winning Cheeva Spa and his leadership role with the Thai Lanna Spa Association, and a deep personal friendship.
We discussed anti-white racism in Asia, anti-Indian racsim almost everywhere and the other -isms, like the discrimination one faces as a single white mom in Asia. But in the end, he and I came to the conclusion that it is the SYSTEMIC RACISM that is agreed on by the majority, enforced by law and not questioned that is the worst.

I've not posted in a really long time because I've been intensely busy with everything going on in the world.
I've done a couple interviews, launched a city peer mental health "hotline," am helping to co-create a new social enterprise, and have more similar in the works. I've also started dating someone, which takes up what little time is left over after all the productivity.
I did want to check-in though to let everyone know I'm fine. No protest or COVID19 related woes in my personal life.

Pre-Existing Medical Conditions in Over 95% of Alleged UK COVID-19 Deaths (Similar to Italy)

A spreadsheet report of data from the UK's NHS puts some more context around alleged "COVID-19 deaths". As has been confirmed in Italy and even with the flu, those most affected and potentially die, are those with pre-existing medical conditions.
The ethnicity/race most affected are the white British (19,465 out of 27,045) which is 72% of alleged COVID death cases. Looking at the deaths of those with pre-existing conditions in age groups, those 60 and above account for 87.5% of all COVID-19 attributed deaths, and 92% of those dead with pre-existing conditions. That means those less than 60 and with pre-existing conditions only account for 8% of the alleged COVID-19 deaths with pre-existing conditions, and 7.5% of all COVID-19 attributed deaths.

I'm listening to this song as I write. I'm in a place right now that's hard to talk about with any but my dearest closest friends. It's deep and strong and I don't know if it's dark or not, but there's a resolve that I'm tempering that'll come on hard as soon as it's developed.
I know my posts have been militant lately. No apologies, that's just how my mind's been. Like I said, life here is weird lately. But I've been learning and working on the medicinal independence as always, not slowing down anywhere except my digital life.

With everything kicking off in America, it's hard not to avoid the racism arguments debates online. The other day I came across this quote from Scott Woods:
My first reaction to it was that it was an accusation that you are racist for being born white and isn't that in itself racist?
However, there was something else in it that kept buzzing away at the back of my mind. It was this sentence:
”Racism is a complex system of social and political levers and pulleys set up generations ago to continue working on the behalf of whites (some) at other people’s expense, whether whites (they) know/like it or not.”
