According to John C. Maxwell,“A leader knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way”. To enhance the leadership ability of the BCBP action group leaders, the BCBP Bogo Chapter conducted an action group leaders training after our breakfast meeting last Saturday morning. My husband and I attended the said training to enhance our skills and potential too if given a chance to lead a group or organization. The action group leaders training was set on the same date as our breakfast meeting to ensure that many members would participate or join the training. The training was intended for the unit Leaders, action group leaders, and members committed and dedicated to serving the community. The event started with a prayer and worship led by our mission head director and it was followed by the introduction of our resource speaker coming from Mandaue Chapter.

The speaker started his session by giving guide questions where the participants could interact and share their insight and expertise about the topics. The participants actively engaged in each activity as the speaker continued discussing the topics. He explained who is a leader what are the qualities of a good leader and how to conduct an action group meeting. It was a very interesting topic where everyone would like to learn and impart their learnings in their respective group. Many of the participants asked questions to further enhance their learning and understanding of the topics.

After the morning session, we took our lunch sponsored by one of our participants who had a birthday last week. As part of her Thanksgiving, she voluntarily sponsored our lunch. After eating our sumptuous meal, we continued our training by opening the session with a joke session then the speaker continued his topic until the session ended. After the afternoon session, we ended our training by having a photo opportunity. The training was successful and we learned a lot from our facilitator. Were thankful to our brilliant and competent facilitator for sharing his expertise and others.

With this training, I realized that it's not easy to be a leader. A good must possess a lot of characteristics such as being a commander, an organizer a diplomat, and an entertainer. If you have all the characteristics then you are a good leader who can run smoothly your organization.

That's all for now. Thank you and God bless!
