EDUSPHERE 2024: 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐏𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥
Edusphere is a week long activity dedicated for Education students on April 29–30 and May 2, 2024. This is a three-day-long celebration, engaging in diverse activities that highlight knowledge, creativity, and boundless potential for the College of Education Arts and Sciences students.
DAY 1
The Day 1 of the Edusphere/CEAS Days was kicked off by a parade of all Education students from different majors. It was accompanied by a band which started in the floating area of Cebu Technological University Danao Campus going to the Kadasig Gymnasium. The parade was indeed fun as I see different faces and diverse people with a common things they have, the happiness in their faces.
As soon as we were in the Kadasig Gymnasium, the event started with an opening remarks from the governor of the Educator's League and it's adviser. We have fun with the intermission numbers from different majors. Of course the most anticipated part of Day 1 of the event, was the CEAS Got Talent. Different representatives from each major showcased their talents on the spectacular stage of the Kadasig Gymnasium.
During the afternoon session, each majors prepared a Braniac Exhibit showcasing different Instructional Materials from their majors. I am not able to go to other exhibits since I was busy helping our booth for the exhibit. Our major showcases varied IMs which we have used throughout our teaching demonstrations. The Braniac Exhibit, ends the day 2 of the activity. The day 3 will be on May 2 since there's no classes for May 1 in observance of the Labor Day.
DAY 2
Day 2 of the celebration for the College of Education Arts and Sciences (CEAS) Week. The Social Studies Major along with the Home of Independent and Young Aspiring Servants initiated a Taxation ang Public Procurement Seminar for the Social Studies Majors which was held at the Student Activity Center (SAC).
It was a sunny morning at Cebu Technological University Danao Campus, early in the morning after eating my breakfast, I then proceed to the school to attend the seminar, it was indeed meaningful and educational as we are able to know and ask questions from experts. We discussed about what is a procurement, the things to consider in procurement, the principles of procurement, and the history of procurement. On the other hand, in Taxation we discussed all about what is a taxation, the history of taxation, purpose of taxation, different kind of tax, and the characteristics of a sound Tax System. My morning activity during the Day 2 of the event was indeed educational.
In the afternoon, we enjoyed the booths prepared by different majors, at 5 PM the most awaited part of the program started, the faces of CEAS 2024. It was indeed amazing to see differently unique contestants from each majors showcasing their prowess on stage. The event end at 9 PM, yet we are all patiently waiting and cheering for our representatives. The Social Studies Majors garnered special awards and ranked 1st runner up in the event. It was indeed enjoying yet tiring.
DAY 3
The Day 3 of the event commenced with the awarding and recognition for students organizations in the College of Education Arts and Sciences.
Afterwards, we then proceed to the Student's Activity Center to cheer for our representative in Social Studies for quiz bowl, we ranked 3rd out of all the contestants, and our major are all proud of our participants. In the afternoon we then enjoy our lunch and prepared ourselves for the Historical Soiree, yet I wasn't able to attend the night since tomorrow after the event is the schedule for my teaching demonstration and I have to complete my instructional materials.
Moreover, the three day event was a vent to all the academic days we have in the semester. It's a good thing also to enjoy school without academic duties even just for three days. This activity is a good thing for students, it promotes a conducive and enjoyable environment for students and of course it promotes the schools positive school culture.
