Rising Sun Monument

A week before my daughter had her umbilical hernia operation, my husband decided to take us out for an afternoon drive. We got dressed up and got in the car, still not knowing where we were going.

My husband was driving in the direction of the east side of the city; there was a lot of traffic that day and it was desperately hot. Even though he was on the window side of the car, the natural air didn't help, much less the water for hydration.

During the trip I was captivated by the Monument to the Rising Sun, the contrast that the sun made when it hit the public space, so I decided to take several pictures, but as the car was moving, I could not focus well on this icon that has great relevance in the city of Barquisimeto, Lara state in Venezuela.

This architectural work is located in a circular space, where Libertador, Los Leones and Herman Garmendia avenues converge. The cars go around it, I tell you that the Redoma al Sol Naciente is also known in this way and alludes to the sun, our solar star, which makes life on earth possible.

The Rising Sun Monument is surrounded by important buildings such as the Shopping Center, the Trinitarias, the Barquisimeto Fair Complex, the Cecosesola del Este, the Parque del Este, as well as other places of great importance for the city.

As you can see in the pictures, it has grass in greater proportion, palm trees, Trinitarias plants and other trees that I do not know their name. Another aspect that I want you to know is that people gather, they stop for a while to share with their loved ones, forgetting their usual routine.

Here they can distract themselves, it serves as recreation after having had an exhausting day, being in contact with the outdoors is a phenomenal experience that gives very good results for the organism. The Monument to the Rising Sun has been a meeting place for those who live in Lara or those who visit us from other places.

I must add that I am pleased to know this community, where ugly pictures with significant details are not an impediment to make a publication. Those photos taken by me who have no experience in photography, will have a space here, and will not go at once to the trash garbage can of my device to be permanently deleted.
