Me asomo a Hive Collectors para presentarte mi colección de sellos de correos. La filatelia es un mundo apasionante y con el que se puede aprender sobre historia, arte y cultura popular de los países.
Poseo escasos sellos de países diferentes al mío. Los pocos que conservo fueron adquiridos en eBay, plataforma en la que durante un tiempo hice compra-venta de estas estampillas.
Empecé mi colección recortando las esquinas de los sobres de las cartas que intercambiaba con mis amigos. Pasé mis vacaciones de infancia y juventud en el pueblo natal de mi madre, a 600 kilómetros de la ciudad donde vivo, y entre verano y verano la única comunicación que podía permitirme con los amigos que hacía era a través de misivas escritas de puño y letra que tardaban varios días en llegar a su destino. Qué distinto del presente, inmediato e impaciente.
Cuando decidí ordenar y clasificar en condiciones estos pequeños tesoros me hice con un catálogo para conocer su estado y su posible valor en aquellos momentos. Nunca he tasado mi colección, pues no me interesa venderla. Incluso prefiero no saber si poseo un ejemplar raro y valioso, ya que para disfrutar de su valor tendría que desprenderme de él.
Guardo mis sellos en varios álbumes especiales para su correcta conservación. He tratado de ordenarlos por su cronología, pero como me faltan muchos hay hojas completas vacías esperando ser rellenadas. También tengo muchos sellos sin clasificar, espero que esta publicación me sirva de impulso para retomar esa tarea. Recuerdo que pasaba horas y horas buscando cada sello en el catálogo, leyendo la descripción y comentarios de la serie a la que pertenecía, acomodándolo en su nuevo lugar.
En España los sellos reflejan su historia. Cada período, acontecimiento importante, personaje relevante o monumento cultural ha estado reflejado en uno de estos pequeños papelitos engomados.
Los que ves arriba son de los más antiguos, de finales del siglo XIX y principios del XX. Por entonces tuvimos a Alfonso XIII como monarca.
Tras la Guerra Civil se dio paso a décadas de dictadura bajo el mando del general Francisco Franco, quien utilizó los sellos como una forma de propaganda y de exaltación de los valores que quería transmitir a sus ciudadanos y al mundo fuera de nuestras fronteras.
El teléfono todavía no estaba presente en todos los hogares y la fuerte migración interna del campo a las ciudades propulsó ese intercambio de noticias entre familiares y amistades. Los negocios también necesitaban comunicarse mediante cartas.
La evolución de la tecnología se aprecia solo con mirar los sellos. Se pasa de planchas de grabado monocolor a estampaciones con vivos colores y de dibujos a fotografías.
Con la llegada de la monarquía parlamentaria y el reinado de Juan Carlos I (padre del actual rey, Felipe VI) empiezan a aparecer los sellos que yo misma he ido a comprar al estanco.
Llegaron también las hojitas formadas por la unión de sellos diferentes que unidos formaban un conjunto. Es un objeto dirigido a coleccionistas bastante curioso.
Con el cambio de la peseta al euro también llegaron los sellos adhesivos y de impresión por demanda. Ahora ya solo existen varias tarifas que se reflejan con una letra en lugar de la cifra en euros. De este modo las subidas anuales de las tarifas son casi inmediatas.
Tengo pocos sellos a partir del año 2000. Los teléfonos móviles irrumpían con fuerza para cambiar de arriba a abajo nuestras comunicaciones y el correo se ha quedado como un método residual.
Mi sello favorito es el dedicado al cantante Alejandro Sanz. Es uno de mis artistas preferidos y ese sello conmemora su disco Más, con el que alcanzó la fama mundial gracias a la canción Corazón partío. Lo habré escuchado miles de veces. ¡No exagero!
Llegamos al presente y devuelvo los álbumes a su lugar, en el mueble principal de la casa. Quizás en un futuro te muestre con más detalle las distintas series o los períodos históricos. ¿Te gustaría que te cuente más sobre mi colección de sellos?

I'm coming to Hive Collectors to introduce you to my stamp collection. Philately is an exciting world in which you can learn about the history, art and popular culture of countries.
I own very few stamps from countries other than my own. The few I have were acquired on eBay, a platform where for a while I bought and sold these stamps.
I started my collection by cutting out the corners of envelopes from the letters I exchanged with my friends. I spent my childhood and youth holidays in my mother's hometown, 600 kilometres from the city where I live, and between summer and summer the only communication I could afford with the friends I made was through handwritten letters that took several days to reach their destination. How different from the present, immediate and impatient.
When I decided to sort and classify these little treasures I got a catalogue to know their condition and their possible value at that time. I have never valued my collection, as I am not interested in selling it. I even prefer not to know if I own a rare and valuable copy, because to enjoy its value I would have to part with it.
I keep my stamps in several special albums for their proper preservation. I have tried to sort them by chronology, but as I am missing many of them, there are whole empty sheets waiting to be filled in. I also have many unclassified stamps, I hope this publication will give me the impetus to take up that task again. I remember spending hours and hours looking for each stamp in the catalogue, reading the description and comments of the series to which it belonged, arranging it in its new place.
In Spain, stamps reflect its history. Each period, important event, important personage or cultural monument has been reflected in one of these little gummed papers.
The ones you see above are the oldest, from the late 19th and early 20th century. At that time we had Alfonso XIII as monarch.

There also came the little sheets formed by the union of different stamps that together formed a set. It is a rather curious collector's item.
With the change from the peseta to the euro, adhesive and print-on-demand stamps also appeared. Now there are only several tariffs which are shown with a letter instead of the number in euros. In this way the annual increases of the tariffs are almost immediate.
I have few stamps from the year 2000 onwards. Mobile phones burst in with force to change our communications from top to bottom and mail has remained a residual method.
My favourite stamp is the one dedicated to the singer Alejandro Sanz. He is one of my favourite artists and this label commemorates his album Más, which brought him worldwide fame with the song Corazón partío. I must have heard it a thousand times. I am not exaggerating!
