My keychain collection

The month of September begins giving way to school activities, to the decline of the summer months, and to a new theme proposed by our dear @mipiano: the keychains.

Keys for any type of lock are present in the daily life of every family. They help us to have some security of our properties and objects of importance; but keeping a key by itself, is a ticket that can lead us to its loss more easily. For this reason, your best ally will always be to attach the keys to a key ring, so as to have them with us.

These have gained great popularity, both for their design and for the materials used in their construction. With shapes that can be customized to fulfill specific functions.

Their origin dates back to ancient Egypt, where they were made of wood. Over the years, other more resistant materials were used, and the ring was added so that they could hold more than one key per key ring.

Personally, I have always liked them, and it is something that we usually buy or share as a gift, in every trip we make or when we meet people we love. For that reason, today I want to show you some of the key chains I have at home.

Functional and practical keychains:

This keychain integrates the promotion of Pasteur medical clinics and on the other hand, it has a button to turn on an LED light, which helps us to visualize better during the night.

A small blade and a file can sometimes serve as a useful tool. Yesterday I used it as a lever to remove the AAA batteries from the remote control of a TV, which eventually got stuck.

In this digital and communication age, having a memory stick on hand is something that comes in handy. But falling to the floor leads to its demise with ease.

Unlike the previous keychain, this one, made of aluminum, is fireproof. You can drop it as many times as you want, but it always remains functional as a bottle cap opener.

This beautiful keychain, also made of metal, is a promotion to Las Vegas, that iconic place in the United States, where lights and gambling are the daily routine.

But it can also cut the nails of your hands or any intrusive thread that comes out of our wardrobe.

Promotional keychains:

Nothing better than showing the promotion of something, in an object that can be in contact with people. A visual image, will always fertilize our memories and thoughts.

Nothing like spending a vacation in a wooden chalet, in the snow, under the warmth of a fireplace, between glasses of wine, good music and a special company.

A place in the capital of Poland, like this factory, could not be missing in my collection.

These keychains remind me of the car I drove, a Lexus RX 350 SUV, while residing for 4 years in the United States.

If your car breaks down, this keychain makes you remember who to call in case of towing.

Animated plush keychains:

A yellow teddy bear and his po po, in the fiction of a keychain, can always be inseparable and good friends.

Romantics:

Love, that divine energy that embraces everything, could not be absent in a keychain. A dear person gave me this keychain years ago.

Fastener type keychain:

At one time, these were widely used, fastened to the belt loop of pants, with the keys towards the pockets.

Keychain with the signs of the zodiac:

Although I was born under the sun and my ascendant in the sign of Sagittarius, this keychain was kept by my mother in her drawer; a gift from a nice friendship in her life.

Container type keychain:

A way to store a bunch of keys in a low volume place, and reflecting the eternal summer that embraces Cuba.

Handcrafted leather keychain:

Because of its size it is impractical to carry around. Rather, it is to keep it and when you see it, to revive memories of the work of certain people and areas, where the cutting and drying of natural leather is meritorious.

Keychain with control box for cars:

I have left for the end of this post, this keychain with its controller box for car door locks, opening and closing the hood, activating the alarm, etc.

Seeing this keychain controller, the car manual and its packaging, makes me relive my first modern car that accompanied me to move around the city of Miami.

Before my return to Cuba, I sold it, but I kept a copy of its key and the rest of the set. At that time they could not be imported, and it was the only way to take with me part of its soul and the history we shared in the streets of that city.

Thanks to those who read me. I wish you a good day.
