Hi everyone, I hope you are doing great... this time I want to talk about a new book that I recently finished, and I wanted to share with you all my review with some opinions.... It's about the book: When the Sky Falls, written by Megan Maxwell. This novel surprised me a lot, the author presents us this time with a very touching and unexpectedly deep story that explores universal themes such as love and friendship in all its forms.... The plot follows the lives of Alba and Nacho, two friends who have known each other since childhood and develop a truly unbreakable bond.... Their story begins when Nacho, after losing his parents, moves in with his grandmother in the same building where Alba lives. From that moment on, their lives begin to intertwine in a very special way.
One of the things that caught me the most about this book is how the author captures all the essence of a true friendship, we can see that since they were little, the relationship between Alba and Nacho is very authentic.... She does a great job of showing how a friendship can evolve over the years, from the innocence of childhood to the challenges of adulthood...the novel also tackles much more difficult topics, but with a lot of depth and sensitivity. Without going into spoilers, I can say that there is no hiccup in exploring all the dark sides of life, including the pain of loss, illness and abuse. However, it does so in a way that is not overwhelming, but rather reminds us of the importance of cherishing every moment and the people we truly love.
Hola a todos, espero que se encuentren genial.. en esta ocasión les quiero hablar de un nuevo libro que terminé recientemente, y quería compartirles a todos ustedes mi reseña con algunas opiniones.. Se trata del libro: Cuando el cielo se caiga, escrito por Megan Maxwell. Esta novela me sorprendió mucho, la autora nos presenta esta vez una historia muy conmovedora y inesperadamente profunda que explora temas universales como el amor y la amistad en todas sus formas.. La trama sigue la vida de Alba y Nacho, dos amigos que se conocen desde niños y desarrollan un vínculo realmente inquebrantable.. Su historia comienza cuando Nacho, tras perder a sus padres, se muda con su abuela al mismo edificio donde vive Alba. Desde ese momento, sus vidas se empiezan a entrelazar de una manera muy especial.
Una de las cosas que más me atrapó de este libro es cómo la autora captura toda la esencia de una amistad verdadera, podemos ver que desde pequeños, la relación entre Alba y Nacho es muy auténtica.. Se hace un gran trabajo al mostrar cómo una amistad puede evolucionar a lo largo de los años, desde la inocencia de la infancia hasta los desafíos de la edad adulta.. la novela también aborda temas mucho más difíciles, pero con mucha profundidad y sensibilidad. Sin entrar en spoilers, puedo decir que no hay ningún tipo de contratiempo en explorar todos los lados oscuros de la vida, incluyendo el dolor de la pérdida, la enfermedad y el abuso. Sin embargo, lo hace de una manera que no resulta abrumadora, sino que nos recuerda la importancia de valorar cada momento y a las personas que realmente amamos.
I was also pleasantly impressed with the development of the characters. Alba and Nacho are complex and very realistic...both have their own internal struggles and flaws. Watching them grow and change throughout the story is fascinating to me, also the secondary characters are well constructed and add some depth to the narrative.... The writing style is accessible and very fluid, which makes for a very enjoyable read, despite the intensity at times...there is a lot of skill in alternating between light and more dramatic moments. The author is very talented at this, as she gives a very good balance to the story, one of the things that struck me the most was how the author manages to impact and convey such intense emotions.
There were moments when I literally felt a lump in my throat because of what I was reading, this emotional roller coaster makes for a truly interesting reading experience. Although I must admit that not in every chapter the reading is light.. as, although it may not seem like it, there is a lot of drama throughout the narrative, it is not a lighthearted read. This book might not be the best choice if you're looking for a story where mature or adult things don't happen, or something more relaxing, you know? But I think if you're willing to embark on an emotionally intense and also thoughtful story, well that's what's here.
También me impresionó gratamente el desarrollo que tuvieron los personajes. Alba y Nacho son complejos y muy realistas.. ambos tienen sus propias luchas internas y defectos. Ver cómo crecen y cambian a lo largo de la historia me resulta fascinante, también los personajes secundarios están bien construidos y aportan cierta profundidad a la narrativa.. El estilo de escritura es accesible y muy fluido, lo que hace que la lectura sea muy agradable de leer, a pesar de la intensidad en algunos momentos.. hay mucha habilidad para alternar entre momentos ligeros y otros más dramáticos. La autora tiene mucho talento en esto, ya que le da un muy buen equilibrio a la historia, una de las cosas que más me llamaron la atención fue cómo la autora logra impactar y transmitir emociones tan intensas.
Hubo momentos en los que literalmente sentí un nudo en la garganta por lo que estaba leyendo, esta montaña rusa emocional hace que la lectura sea una experiencia verdaderamente interesante. Aunque debo admitir que no en todos los capítulos la lectura es ligera.. ya que, aunque no puede parecer, hay mucho drama en toda la narrativa, no es una lectura despreocupada. Este libro podría no ser la mejor opción si lo que buscas es una historia donde no pasen cosas maduras o adultas, o algo más relajante, ¿sabes? Pero creo que si estás dispuesto a embarcarte en una historia emocionalmente intensa y también reflexiva, pues eso es lo que hay aquí.
This story made me reflect on the importance of relationships in our lives and how we deal with adversity. I could say that in some moments the drama can feel a bit out of place.. there are also some situations that may seem a bit predictable if you are familiar with this kind of melodramatic stories, but I think these are small details that do not significantly diminish the overall quality of the work.. it is a very touching and deep novel that demonstrates the author's versatility as a writer. It is a powerful testimony about the strength of love in all its forms and how it can help us a lot to overcome some difficult moments in life. I give it a rating of 4.2/5.
The story is captivating, the characters are well developed, and I think the handling and conveying of emotions is exceptional.While not perfect, it is a read that I really recommend. I suppose it can stay with you long after you've finished it...quite simply, it serves to make you reflect and even cry a little. I think if you haven't read it you should give it a chance, at least if you are a fan of dramas or like to cry a little, you know what you can find here. Esta historia me hizo reflexionar sobre la importancia de las relaciones en nuestras vidas y cómo enfrentamos las adversidades. Podría decir que en algunos momentos el drama puede sentirse un poco fuera de lugar.. también hay algunas situaciones que pueden parecer un poco predecibles si estás familiarizado con este tipo de historias melodramáticas, pero creo que son pequeños detalles que no disminuyen significativamente la calidad general de la obra.. es una novela muy conmovedora y profunda que demuestra la versatilidad de la autora como escritora. Es un testimonio poderoso sobre la fuerza del amor en todas sus formas y cómo nos puede ayudar mucho a superar algunos momentos difíciles de la vida. Yo le doy una calificación de 4.2/5.
La historia es cautivadora, los personajes están bien desarrollados, y creo que el manejo y la transmisión de emociones es excepcional, aunque no es perfecta, es una lectura que realmente recomiendo. Supongo que puede quedarse contigo mucho después de haberla terminado.. sencillamente, sirve para hacerte reflexionar e incluso llorar un poco. Creo que si no lo han leído deberían darle una oportunidad, al menos si son fanáticos de los dramas o les gusta llorar un poco, pues ya saben lo que se pueden encontrar por aquí.
