Hoy hago mi primera participación en esta comunidad motivado por el interesante concurso sobre un libro que te haya cambiado la vida, pero con seguridad me seguirán viendo por acá en un futuro cercano.
Particularmente creo que todos los libros que lees te dejan una huella, te cambian en algo. Leí en una oportunidad que, somos el resultado de: los libros que hemos leído y las personas con las que nos hemos relacionado.

Today I make my first participation in this community motivated by the interesting contest about a book that has changed your life, but surely you will continue to see me here in the near future.
I particularly think that all the books you read leave a mark on you, they change you something. I read once that, we are the result of: the books we have read and the people we have related to.
Provengo de una familia católica, por lo que mis primeros pasos espirituales los di en ésta religión. Aun siendo un niño cumplí con todos los sacramentos exigidos: bautismo, comunión y confirmación, pero al crecer surgieron inquietudes e interrogantes a las que no les encontraba una explicación satisfactoria; me preguntaba, por ejemplo, ¿Por qué nacen niños en extrema pobreza, sufriendo todo tipo de calamidades, y otros “en cuna de oro”, donde no les falta nada? ¿Qué han hecho esos niños pobres para merecer tan duro castigo? ¿Acaso el pecado original no es igual para todos?
I come from a Catholic family, so I took my first spiritual steps in this religion. I fulfilled all the required sacraments: baptism, communion and confirmation even as a child, but as I grew up, concerns and questions arose for which I could not find a satisfactory explanation. I wondered, for example, why are children born in extreme poverty suffering all kinds of calamities and others "in a golden cradle" where they lack nothing? What have these poor children done to deserve such harsh punishment? Isn't original sin the same for everyone?
Por mera casualidad, ¿o causalidad?, llegó a mis manos un libro que cambió mi vida en cuanto a la visión religiosa y espiritual que tenía. Me hizo comprender que, prácticamente, todas las grandes religiones persiguen lo mismo, reunir nuestro espíritu con la fuerza creadora del universo. Nos dan pautas de vida, códigos éticos y morales para que tengamos una mejor convivencia en este mundo; aprendí sobre la ley del karma o ley de acción y reacción; todo lo que hacemos tiene consecuencias positivas o negativas, en esta vida o en otras. Decía un líder religioso que “todas las religiones son flores de un mismo jardín, en diferentes etapas de desarrollo y esplendor”. Soy respetuoso de todas las creencias y corrientes religiosas; todos tenemos el deber y el derecho de buscar nuestro propio camino.
By mere chance, or causality? I got a book that changed my life in terms of religious and spiritual vision. It made me understand that practically all the great religions pursue the same thing, reunite our spirit with the creative force of the universe. They give us life guidelines, ethical and moral codes so that we can have a better coexistence in this world; I learned about the law of karma or the law of action and reaction; everything we do has positive or negative consequences, in this life or in others. A religious leader said that "all religions are flowers of the same garden, in different stages of development and splendor." I am respectful of all religious beliefs and currents; We all have the duty and the right to find our own way.
El libro al que me he referido es: Elevándose a la conciencia de Krsna. Escrito por: A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.Es un pequeño libro en cuanto al número de páginas, pero grande en su contenido. Su lectura me motivó a indagar más en el campo religioso y espiritual.
The book I have referred to is Rising to Krsna Consciousness. Written by: A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. It is a small book in terms of number of pages, but large in content. His reading motivated me to investigate more in the religious and spiritual field.
Podría pensarse que por lo expresado acá me convertí al hinduismo, pero no, sigo siendo profundamente cristiano, eso si, con una visión más amplia de la que tenía y aplicando el mandato de "Escudriñad las escrituras que en ellas encontraràs la verdad".
You might think that because of what was said here I converted to Hinduism, but no, I am still deeply Christian, that is, with a broader vision than I had and applying the mandate to "Search the scriptures that you will find the truth in them."
