Como siempre, me gusta aclarar que aunque esta publicación se enmarca en el concurso de Literatos, lo hace con el fin de estimular la participación, pues no entra como concursante por ser yo uno de los promotores del evento. En esta ocasión estoy apoyando el Concurso de sonetos humorísticos en honor al poeta venezolano Andrés Eloy Blanco, una vez más patrocinado por el amigo @theycallmedan .
Aparte de resaltar con esta actividad el nombre de este gran poeta, hemos querido impulsar el conocimiento de las estructuras clásicas en la poesía, las cuales, a mi modo de ver, son las que nos enseñan de fondo el concepto de la poesía y el difícil arte de los versos.
Aunque hace varias semanas empecé a publicar una serie de sonetos, en ellos me tomo la libertad de jugar con el largo de los versos (aunque allí doy prioridad a los alejandrinos), pero también con las rimas.
En contraposición hoy traigo un poema con una estructura clásica, en la cual respeto la forma de ABBA:ABBA:CDC:DCD, escritos en versos de once sílabas métricas (Recuerda que para este concurso deben ser de al menos nueve).
Como también queremos destacar acá el carácter humorístico de parte de la obra de Andrés Eloy y estimular ese tipo de contenido, también introduje ese tema de una manera particular que, como dice la expresión: ¡el que entendió, entendió! 😅
As always, I like to clarify that although this post is framed within the Literatos contest, it does so in order to stimulate participation, as it does not enter as a contestant because I am one of the promoters of the event. On this occasion I am supporting the Contest of humorous sonnets in honor of the Venezuelan poet Andrés Eloy Blanco (Sorry, Spanish only), once more sponsored by our friend @theycallmedan.
Apart from highlighting with this activity the name of this great poet, we wanted to promote the knowledge of the classical structures in poetry, which, in my opinion, are the ones that teach us in depth the concept of poetry and the difficult art of verses.
Although several weeks ago I began to publish a series of sonnets, in them I take the liberty of playing with the length of the lines (although there I give priority to alexandrines), but also with the rhymes.
In contrast, today I bring a poem with a classic structure, in which I respect the form of ABBA:ABBA:CDC:DCD, written in lines of eleven metrical syllables (remember that for this contest they must be at least nine).
As we also want to emphasize here the humorous character of part of Andrés Eloy's work and stimulate that kind of content, I also introduced that theme in a particular way that, as the expression says: whoever understood, understood! 😅
Las vocales del poeta
y refirióse al “mazo” en vez de al “mozo”
mas en proceder muy jactancioso
justificó su error con cara dura
Del verso hizo examen acucioso
Lo cual al poeta hizo furioso
Y al joven increpó con amargura
ni entrar en absurdas discusiones
con pertinencia declaró de tajo:
a que me saquen en pelea un “ajo”
o a recibir un golpe en los “cajones”!
The poet's vowels
and referred to the "mazo" ("mallet") instead of the "mozo" ("boy").
but in a very boastful manner
he justified his mistake with a stern face
Of the verse he made a thorough examination
Which made the poet furious
And the young man rebuked with bitterness
Nor enter into absurd discussions
with pertinence he declared bluntly:
to get my "ajo" (garlic) 1 ripped in a fight
or to receive a blow in the " cajones" ("drawers") 2 !
- Changed to "ojo", means eye.
- Changed to "cojones", means balls.
