El día nueve de septiembre del 2023; asisto a la convocatoria en la sede de la alcaldía de Cedeño, Caicara del Orinoco, para la entrega de certificados del Diplomado del Centro de Historia Simón Bolívar, Vida y Obra del Libertador Simón Bolívar, a dar un mensaje para el cierre nacional de este programa estudios que tiene marcado el contenido del pensamiento crítico científico de la historia Insurgente en Venezuela y nuestra América, descolonización de la memoria oficial del positivismo. Desaprendizaje y aprendizaje. Los cinco módulos se abordan con la apoyatura teórica de la educación y la pedagogía liberadora para desmontar el coloniaje y avasallamiento del pensamiento colonial predominante en la educación tradicional venezolana.
Voy a mostrar una síntesis del discurso efectuado en este evento de carácter académico que se desarrolla con el apoyo del ayuntamiento local, con la finalidad de registrar en los libros de esta institución la significación de este acto histórico con los ciudadanos que participamos en el diplomado.
Me inscribo en este diplomado por la red social que realiza la invitación, me llama la atención el título de Historia insurgente. A los pocos meses me convocan a una reunión, acá en Caicara, en la sede de la Universidad de Oriente. Asisto y me sorprendo por la forma en que dicen que estoy inscrito para que participe en esta labor de carácter investigativa, científica y académica.
On the ninth of September 2023; I attend the convocation at the headquarters of the mayor's office of Cedeño, Caicara del Orinoco, for the delivery of certificates of the Diploma of the Simón Bolívar History Centre, Life and Work of the Liberator Simón Bolívar, to give a message for the national closure of this study programme that has marked the content of critical scientific thought of the Insurgent history in Venezuela and our America, decolonisation of the official memory of positivism. Unlearning and learning. The five modules are approached with the theoretical support of education and liberating pedagogy in order to dismantle the colonialism and subjugation of colonial thought predominant in traditional Venezuelan education.
I am going to show a synthesis of the speech made in this event of academic character that is developed with the support of the local city council, with the purpose of registering in the books of this institution the significance of this historical act with the citizens that participate in the diploma course.
I enrolled in this diploma course through the social network that issued the invitation, and the title Historia insurgente caught my attention. A few months later I was called to a meeting here in Caicara, at the headquarters of the Universidad de Oriente. I attended and was surprised by the way they said I was registered to participate in this research, scientific and academic work.
Así, de esta manera, me involucro en esta labor. Para el mes de noviembre, estoy participando en el congreso de la Historia Insurgente, en la ciudad de Caracas. Es una oportunidad que tengo para abordar la ciudad y un encuentro con el mar en Macuto, en la región del litoral venezolano. En este congreso, escucho la teoría de la historia insurgente a través de los discursos de sus prominentes creadores y propulsores.
La nueva historia es insurgente, ética, y crítica, ella me abre la conciencia histórica para sí, al tener en el pensamiento, la presencia del espíritu del Libertador Simón Bolívar, en el imaginario colectivo, vivo, presente, les voy a mostrar el resultado del trabajo en comunidad que hice con mi compañera Yelitza Bravo, para encontrarme con la teoría me voy a buscar la fuente de la investigación en la memoria la comunidad Blanquita de Pérez de Caicara del Orinoco. Entrevisto a la compañera Maritza Vaamonde, la visito, ella es oriunda de barlovento, le preguntamos el lugar donde nació Simón Bolívar. – En la escuela nos dijeron, que nació en Caracas, pero todo Barlovento y mi papá dice que nació en la hacienda de Capaya. Así respondió Maritza con seguridad personal.
So, in this way, I am involved in this work. For the month of November, I am participating in the congress of Insurgent History, in the city of Caracas. It is an opportunity for me to approach the city and an encounter with the sea in Macuto, in the region of the Venezuelan coast.In this congress, I hear the theory of insurgent history through the discourses of its prominent creators and proponents.
The new history is insurgent, ethical, and critical, it opens my historical conscience to itself, by having in thought, the presence of the spirit of the Liberator Simón Bolívar, in the collective imaginary, alive, present, I am going to show you the result of the work in community that I did with my companion Yelitza Bravo, to find myself with the theory I am going to look for the source of the investigation in the memory of the community Blanquita de Pérez de Caicara del Orinoco. I interviewed my colleague Maritza Vaamonde, I visited her, she is a native of Barlovento, we asked her where Simón Bolívar was born. — At school they told us that he was born in Caracas, but all of Barlovento and my father says he was born in the hacienda of Capaya. De esta forma, me lanzo a encontrarme con la descolonización de la memoria y el transcurrir del Libertador Simón Bolívar en la región mirandina venezolana. Bolívar, nació en la hacienda de Cacao de Capaya. Hoy, es un museo regional esa hacienda de cacao.
Posteriormente. En el mes de julio, del 2023, me encuentro en la ciudad de Naguanagua, estado Carabobo, converso los esposos, Yolis Cabello y Manuel Maíz, oriundos de la ciudad primogénita de América, Cumana. Los interpelo inmediatamente como Diplomante del Centro de Estudios Simón Bolívar, les pregunto. -Donde nació Antonio José de Sucre? —En la hacienda de caña de San Antonio del Golfo, Cachamaure, municipio Mejías, la residencia familiar está en Cumana, ubicada en la calle luneta, detrás de la iglesia Santa Inés. Así responde Manuel Maíz. La historia positivista actual dice, que es la cuna del Mariscal de Ayacucho, es Cumaná.
In this way, I set out to encounter the decolonisation of the memory and the passing of the Liberator Simón Bolívar in the Mirandina region of Venezuela. Bolívar was born in the Cacao de Capaya hacienda. Today, this cocoa plantation is a regional museum.

Acá, con estas dos informaciones puedo salir al escenario de la discutible y apasionante historia insurgente. La primera fuente está supeditada por la autoritaria sociedad colonial que, decidía cambiar hasta el lugar donde nacían sus hijos. La segunda fuente es la crónica popular que persiste en la memoria oral. No se puede borrar, se reproduce invariablemente frente a las corrientes positivistas de las clases dominantes. La historia insurgente se sustenta en la lucha de clases. Es más, se nutre de las contradicciones de la sociedad colonial, con su carácter político, religioso, militar cerrado y discriminatorio.
Es menester destacar, que fui seleccionado para expresar esta oralidad por la mayoría de mi edad que prevaleció sobre mis compañeros Diplomantes. Es mi primera sorpresa de esta aventura insurgente.
Here, with these two pieces of information, I can go out on the stage of the debatable and exciting insurgent history. The first source is subordinated to the authoritarian colonial society, which decided to change even the place where its children were born. The second source is the popular chronicle that persists in oral memory. It cannot be erased, it is invariably reproduced in the face of the positivist currents of the dominant classes. Insurgent history is based on the class struggle. Moreover, it is nourished by the contradictions of colonial society, with its political, religious, military, closed and discriminatory character.
It is worth noting that I was selected to express this orality because of my age, which prevailed over my fellow Diplomantes. This is my first surprise in this insurgent adventure.
En mi discurso, no puedo dejar pasar las hojas, para destacar la historia de nuestras naciones indígenas insurgentes, que mantienen sus tradiciones culturales, su cosmovisión, sus idiomas; la pigmentación de la piel, las pintaderas, el onoto, la cultura agrícola, la medicina ancestral. Mantienen la insurgencia, en la mirada frente aquel salvaje invasor que les impuso a sangre y fuego una religión que desconocían, le impusieron una fe; con una espada, una hoguera, una hacha para descuartizar a sus familiares y naciones enteras. Así se preservan y mantienen desde hace quinientos años con esa agresión bárbara y criminal, con el genocidio más cruento de la historia de la humanidad. Más de cien millones de seres humanos fueron asesinados para dominar y saquear nuestro continente americano, esto es historia insurgente. Así lo entiendo que es para despertar la conciencia, para salir de ese aletargamiento mil millonarios en masas en la que sub vive la humanidad.
In my speech, I cannot leave aside the pages to highlight the history of our insurgent indigenous nations, who maintain their cultural traditions, their worldview, their languages; the pigmentation of their skin, the pintaderas, the onoto, the agricultural culture, the ancestral medicine. They maintain their insurgency, in the face of that savage invader who imposed a religion they did not know with blood and fire, they imposed a faith on them; with a sword, a bonfire, an axe to chop up their relatives and entire nations. This is how they have been preserved and maintained for five hundred years with this barbaric and criminal aggression, with the bloodiest genocide in the history of mankind. More than a hundred million human beings were murdered to dominate and plunder our American continent, this is insurgent history. So I understand that it is to awaken the conscience, to get out of this lethargy of a thousand millionaires in masses in which humanity sub lives.
Es importante, encontrar en estas contradicciones sociales, políticas y religiosas a Simón José, Antonio de la Santísima Trinidad, Bolívar Ponte, Palacios y Blanco. Nacido y criado en el sector de los propietarios de las haciendas de Cacao, Caña de Azúcar y, dueños de los hombres esclavizados traídos del continente africano. En esa sociedad se forma con los educadores más trascendentes del continente, Simón Rodríguez y Don Andrés Bello; el primero es propulsor de la educación popular y liberadora, el segundo padre de la gramática castellana.

Mientras se mantiene el sistema educativo con el señorío del positivismo en la sociedad, más oprimida y esclavizada; la historia insurgente se moviliza para con los liderazgos de los hombres y las mujeres insurgentes para transformar en la construcción de la república. Por eso los iconos sin vida de las plazas públicas están concebidas para impedir la reflexión, el pensamiento crítico y el desaprendizaje, de esta forma es imposible conocer a Bolívar de carne y hueso; por eso la historia fastidia y bloquea la conciencia colectiva para impedir dar el salto hacia adelante para impulsar la transformación de Nuestra América.
In my orality, I do not go through the hollow phrases of historians and chroniclers who conspired against the vital existence of Bolívar, in the public squares, with thoughtless phrases that had great transcendence to maintain the yawning and domination of the iconoclastic, bureaucratic and corrupt thinking of the dominant state. While the educational system is maintained with the dominance of positivism in the society, more oppressed and enslaved; the insurgent history is mobilised by the leadership of insurgent men and women to transform in the construction of the republic. That is why the lifeless icons of the public squares are designed to prevent reflection, critical thinking and unlearning, so it is impossible to know Bolivar in the flesh and blood; that is why history bothers and blocks the collective consciousness to prevent us from taking the leap forward to promote the transformation of Our America.
Es necesario comentarles que en la república del Perú no existe una calle, una avenida, una plaza, un colegio, un liceo que lleve el nombre de Simón Bolívar, se desconoce su existencia en la historia de Perú y Panamá. En Ecuador y Panamá, también se desconoce el nombre del Libertador Simón Bolívar. En Colombia, les produce escabiosis hablar de la historia de Suramérica.
El Libertador Simón Bolívar, su liderazgo, se forma con la orientación educativa de Simón Rodríguez para alcanzar la educación liberadora y lo impulsa a que asuma la dirección política y militar regional contra la tiranía de los reyes católicos españoles. Lo hace grande para la libertad, lo hace líder, lo hace Libertador de las actuales seis naciones liberadas del tiránico imperio español; son Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Perú, Bolivia, y Panamá. Esto es descolonización de la memoria y pensamiento crítico.
It is necessary to tell you that in the Republic of Peru there is not a street, an avenue, a square, a school or a high school named after Simón Bolívar; his existence in the history of Peru and Panama is unknown. Por acá, navegaron los barcos agua abajo, por el frente de nuestro Orinoco hacia Angostura, a construir el sueño mirandino. Bolívar puso su voluntad y su fortuna para derrocar al imperialismo español. No escatimo el mínimo esfuerzo para atraer a los insurgentes indígenas, a los esclavizados negros con los blancos criollos que fueron sus perseguidores y esclavizadores para construir la República. Allí fluye en el contenido de la historia insurgente, la sangre derramada de nuestros primeros insurgentes indígenas, Guaicaipuro, que enfrentaron el poder del arcabuz, la pólvora, el caballo y los perros de guerra. El zambo Andrezote, José Leonardo, chirinos y todo el ejército que conformo el Libertador Simón Bolívar para salir del triunfo de la batalla de Carabobo a combatir y destruir todos los ejércitos del imperio español en nuestra Suramérica.
The objective of the patriotic insurgency and the strengthening of the leadership of the Liberator Simón Bolívar, is to liberate our South American continent from the tyranny of the Spanish empire. Tengo que referirme, necesariamente, al mencionar para Bolívar, con el mejor título que se le otorga, el de Libertador, por Liévano Aguirre. Bolívar, es un romántico soñador, vive su ideal romántico. Bolívar es el hombre de las dificultades, del fracaso, una frecuencia de lo imposible, desde el terremoto de Caracas hasta la perdida de Puerto Cabello. Las constantes contradicciones en el movimiento insurgente patriota, de derrota en derrota, se activa para alcanzar las metas de la máxima felicidad. Los conflictos en Guiria; Piar, quien vence heroicamente en San Félix y posteriormente lo fusila. Páez y Santander desintegran la república de Colombia, para destruir el sueño grande de la lucha de catorce años. Catorce años de desplazamiento hasta Perú. En cierta oportunidad le pregunto a mi madre, Irma Garrido Ojeda, porque Bolívar fusila a Piar. –¡Porque Bolívar era un gran carajo! Así asevero mi madre y maestra. Aquí consigo una muestra de la historia insurgente en la voz de mi madre al conseguirlo en carne y hueso con sus aciertos y desaciertos.
