Peter could not sleep that good night, so he was surprised when he discovered that in his room there was someone unknown, it was Tilín Tilan who was wearing red pants with a hat in the shape of a cone. She couldn't believe it but the fairy was lost and it was too late so she asked him to help her find her way home.
When he went down the stairs making sure no one was awake, Tilin Tilan followed him, then he could see that the tree she had lovingly decorated with her brothers was full of presents.
Tilín Tilan looked at him worried but Peter had asked for a world map as a Christmas present, now he just needed to know which of those boxes was the one Santa had brought him.
Pedrito no podía dormir aquella noche buena, así que se sorprendió cuando descubrió que en su habitación había alguien desconocido, era Tilín Tilan quien llevaba un pantaloncito rojo con un gorro en forma de cono. No lo podía creer pero el hada estaba perdida y ya era muy tarde así que le pidió que le ayudara a encontrar el camino hacia su casa.
Cuando bajo por las escaleras asegurándose de que no hubiera nadie despierto, Tilín Tilan le siguió, entonces pudo ver qué el árbol que con tanto amor había adornado junto a sus hermanos, estaba repleto de regalos.
Tilín Tilan lo miraba preocupado pero Pedrito había pedido un mapa mundial como regalo de navidad, ahora sólo necesitaba saber cuál de aquellas cajas era la que Santa le había traído.

That made Peter think, he had waited all that year for his present, had done all his homework, had not been rude and had respected his elders for 365 days. Now he had to decide whether to change his Christmas present so that Tilín Tilan could get home.

— Por supuesto que llevaría con gusto a Tilín Tilan a su casita — manifestó Santa con su tierno tono — pero bien sabes Pedrito, que solo un deseo puedo cumplir cada navidad. Yo ya te he traído un regalo, si te concedo el deseo de llevar a esta pobre hada pérdida a su casita entonces ya no habría regalo para ti en esta noche buena.
Aquello hizo pensar a Pedrito quien había esperado todo aquel año por su regalo, había hecho todas sus tareas, no había sido grosero y respetó a los mayores durante 365 días. Ahora tenía que decidir si cambiar su regalo de navidad para que Tilín Tilan pudiera llegar a casa.

The next morning when Peter woke up his bed was full of gifts, so many that he could not walk and at that moment he understood that Tilin Tilan was the fairy of gifts and that night had definitely been his best Christmas present.
Lo primero que hizo fue admirar desde lejos aquella caja cuidadosamente adornada debajo del árbol de navidad y supo que el mejor regalo que podía haber obtenido aquella noche ya había sucedido. Conocer a Tilín Tilan y a Santa Claus no es algo que pase todos los días así que decidió contestar.
— Deseo cambiar mi deseo de navidad. Por favor Santa Lleva contigo a Tilín Tilan y no te preocupes por mí regalo.
Entonces una inmensa luz cubrió la sala y Santa Claus con su trineo salió directo a las nubes en compañía de Tilín Tilan. Fue así que estando muy cansado ya, Pedrito decidió irse a dormir ya que nadie podía enterarse de lo ocurrido.
La mañana siguiente cuando Pedrito despertó su cama estaba llena de regalos, tantos que no podía caminar y en ese momento comprendió que Tilín Tilan era el hada de los regalos y que definitivamente aquella noche había sido su mejor regalo de navidad.
