I was Shadow Hunting this morning, looking for some interesting and beautiful shadows, looking at every potential subject from many different angles. I love morning and late-afternoon sun on plants, and there were many lovely sights that were drawing my gaze. My entry for this week's Shadow Hunters Community Contest/Show Me a Shadow, Round 228, is what drew my attention the most this morning.
These are photos of one of multiple Persian Shield plants - Strobilanthes dyeriana that I have around the property here at The Sanctuary of The Blue Dragon, in Seaview. When grown with a good bit of sun, their silver-metallic leaves turn a gorgeous purple. A beautiful background for these morning shadows. I hope y'all enjoy them! 🙏 💚
