Grizzly and Wolf Discovery / Reflection Hunters Contest ~ Round 92

This is a favorite spot of my wife and mine when we visit Yellowstone Park. Just outside of Yellowstone Parks west entrance which is located in West Yellowstone, Montana is the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center. If you are in the area it is a must visit place. You pay your entry to the small discovery center which allows you entrance into the discovery center for two days. You may enter as often as you like and are provided a schedule of when certain bears will be feed.

The grizzly bear enclosure allows children to hide food in the rocks and terrain. Once the children exit the enclosure the bear are released. The grizzlies which range in size from a 100 pounds up to 1,000 pounds are released to hunt and tear up the enclosure looking for the food. The grizzlies are matched with similar sized bears to avoid a larger bear from injuring a smaller bear and all get there turn in the enclosure.

This bear is searching a wood pile for a fish that was hidden underneath.

This bear is climbing the tree to get to a bird feeder.

The bears also play.

There is also a few packs of wolves that live at the discovery center and is where I caught the reflection of the wolf.

I hope you enjoyed these photos that I took from the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center and I hope you have a chance to go. West Yellowstone is a nice destination and many of the hotels and campgrounds are located around the discovery center making it easy to go in and out.

Have a great week.
