Replicated Dialogue - entry for the Reflections Hunters Contest 233
After the rain, life returns to its daily rhythm. People return to the streets and resume their activities. Some stop to talk, like these two gentlemen who met, and their conversation was captured, in an image, by the reflection in the water.
Who knows what the topic will be? They might talk about hardship, the blackout, the economic crisis, the price of bread, the past, when it was always better... I like to think that whatever the subject, the image becomes a kind of metaphor that also replicates their voices, as if they represented so many other elderly people, with the same concerns, and in that duplicity between reality and the pseudo-reality of the reflection, they find each other.
With this simple image, so common in Cuba, I want to make my entry to the contest that offers us weekly. With no prior plans, I created this casual image and today I share it with you.
I say goodbye now until another reflection and, as always, I leave you with hugs of light.
