Horray it rained Already!

The long awaited rain came and at last, God heard and granted our prayers. Image taken May 28, 2024.

This photo is my entry

Just after the Rain, I went out knowing that the wet grounds would hold wonderful reflections of anything and it did not fail me in shadow hunting.

This is taken while on my way out from work

It rained on the afternoon and it had been one of the heavier rains we recieved by far. Farmers like me had been wanting it since the long dry period had begun many had thought that it is the beginning of the rainy season in the country.

Doves flew by as I snapped the first picture but my phone was not ready and registeres them as blur in the picture

Road accident

I went home at 6 in the evening,had dinner and as I was doing thr dishes, a loud bang happened sending my husband running to the highway where the sound was created and confirmed a vehicular accident. He sent my daughter to take his whistle to him and assisted traffic to prevent further accident. Unfortunately, the ambulance in our barangay had to take an emergency patient to the hospital first, and the people that were involved in the accident refused to be taken to the hospital too. Both motorcycles were damaged, both riders were not wearing protective gears and both recieved wounds on their feet but are okay.

I and the kids waited for my husband on the other side of the road while some passerbys and onlookers went near them. It took a while for both riders to settle and they decided not to call the police since thier papers were not complete. While waiting, I took some time taking pictures on the raindrops theat was left on the grass. It was wonderful!

Free food

Oh, and before I forget,one of my co-workers handed me a bag of apple mangoes and they look very delicious! I was wishing t have them for some. Time but the availability of it in my locality in the past years is almost impossible and people sell them at high prices. Now that long dry season had gone it triggered almost all varieties of mangoes to bear fruit and produced a lot that people sold them at 40pesos/kilo and I got some for free!

I don't usually eat green mangoes but apple mangoes such a s this one and Indian mangoes are exemptions, they are not that sour and acidic and oh so crispy! Have you tried them before?
