Reflection Hunters Contest - Round 155- Stained Glass
Greetings once again, reflection hunters!
Last weekend, we went to Sacro Costato Retreat House in Kalibo, Aklan, Philippines for our school's annual retreat.
It's quite a nice place. It's not that big... but the total area probably is about 1 Hectare. The retreat house has a small chapel which you will see immediately when you enter the gates.
What caught my attention during the retreat is the reflection of the stained glass design window on top of the main door.

The design of the stained glass alone is beautiful enough, but I thought the reflection on the floor is perfect for this contest.
The challenge though was to get the photo at the right time. Or at least I have to take it while the sun is up to get the glowing effect. On the first day I thought the window is lighted. I realized that it was not after the sunset and we were still there for our retreat.
Also I had to make sure that no one was there when I take the photo. Moreover, I also have to find the right angle.
I took a few shots.
Then settled with this.
Another photo that I thought I would enter in this contest is the reflection of the Tabernacle. However, I was thinking it would be great if the surrounding is dark. I adjusted the lighting but I still don't get the effects that I wanted.
Anyway, we had a meaningful retreat last weekend. :)
