The Log House, Rhino's Turf, Etc

"Ling, look at this cute log house!" the Farmboy sounded excited as he entered the car and quickly showed me a photo he had taken. "Where is it?" I inquired thinking we would go check it out. "It's in that corner but they had big dogs so I took one shot and ran away," he said half-laughing and pointing at the west side of the narrow road we were parked at.

Although it was not intentional, it felt like he was teasing me with it knowing it was a dream of mine to have a log cabin on the small property we purchased a few years ago. The place is close to the city but distant enough one would think he's in a secluded woods. Seeing the house's photo awakened my desire and left me imagining how I prefer mine to be.

Anyway, I noticed the lovely images of trees and other things mirrored on the house's glass windows and the Reflection Hunter's challenge immediately came to mind. I would have insisted we take a look and get more photos but with angry dogs, hell no, lol! So yeah, it's just this single pic and no more but it's okay.

Well, below is actually his original shot. I slightly edited (tilted), gave it a warmer tone, and added more shadows to it in an attempt to make the reflections appear sharper.

On that same day, we hunted some faint but nice reflections while exploring Clark Resort. Some rainwater accumulated on the uneven concrete grounds in the Rhino's Turf caught the mirrored images of some of the structures in the immediate vicinity. (Note: I just called it 'Rhino's Turf' because it's the easiest way to describe it, lol!)

We even had a surprise encounter with my cousin and her in-laws. We saw them posing amongst the statues outside as we arrived so we invited them for coffee.

The pic below was snapped right after we were seated at one of the tables inside the hotel's restaurant. It was discreetly taken as a memento of the moment since I was too shy to take a groufi (group selfie), lol!

This last one was captured as we exited the resort's driveway. I just wanted to take one more shot and didn't know it caught the gate's reflection so it deserves to be included here too.

Well, there ends my wee story along with our hunts in participation to Round 185 of the Show Me A Reflection contest, most popularly known as the Reflection Hunter's Challenge by Olgavita.

It's always nice to catch reflections intentionally, more so when they are accidental as they will surely surprise you when you view them and they were there without you even realizing it while taking the shots :) The hubby snapping the reflections on the log house's windows was purely an accident and so was my last pic of the resort's gate.

I'd say it's been fun!

Thank you and have an amazing Sunday where you are!
