As for its gameplay style, it could be considered as a platform and Beat 'em up game where enemies will never stop appearing on the screen and the best option will always be to advance trying to eliminate all those who get in our way. The protagonist of this adventure will be a girl with magical abilities which she can use when attacking with her Kendo stick, the enemies she must eliminate will be magical creatures with colorful, fun and somewhat typical Anime designs.

Kendo Rage es un videojuego del año 1993 el cual a pesar de ser bastante sencillo tenía unos gráficos muy coloridos y que quedaban muy bien con la temática del videojuego el cual se basaba en diseños de Anime. En cuanto a su estilo de juego se podría considerar como un juego de plataformas y Beat 'em up en donde los enemigos nunca van a dejar de aparecer en pantalla y la mejor opción siempre será avanzar tratando de eliminar a todos los que se atraviesen en nuestro camino. La protagonista de esta aventura será una Chica con habilidades mágicas las cuales puede utilizar al atacar con su palo de Kendo, los enemigos que debe eliminar serán criaturas mágicas con diseños Coloridos, divertidos y algo típicos del Anime.

_____ ***screenshot of my monitor*** El objetivo de este juego es Simple, ir avanzado por los niveles derrotando a todos los enemigos que nos encontremos, en la versión japonesa y América el nombre de la protagonista cambia pero al final es lo mismo, eliminar a todos los monstruos y jefes en tu camino, nada muy complejo de entender. Del mismo modo los controles de este juegos son bastante sencillos y no tenemos un sistema de combos complejos como en los videojuegos de combates de la época, contamos con una botón para saltar, una botón para atacar con el palo de Kendo el cual podrá causar el ataque mágico de forma automática si está cargada una barra de Magia la cual se recarga automáticamente con el tiempo y se vacía al momento de hacer un ataque o recibir daño, también contamos con un ataque de embestida tipo Dash el cual nos hace invulnerables al mismo momento que causa daño a los enemigos pero el usar este ataque nos quitara una gran cantidad de vida por lo cual no se puede usar muy seguido.

______ ***screenshot of my monitor*** En la interfaz gráfica del juego en pantalla tenemos el Tiempo general de la partida, la barra de Magia la cual se recarga con el tiempo y la barra de salud del personaje, adicional a esto tenemos dos círculos de colores de los cuales el primero muestra el tipo de ataque mágico que poseemos y que el mismo puede cambiar si recoger un circulo de otro color al derrotar a un enemigo especifico que lo carga encima, este enemigo aparece un par de veces por nivel y al hacerlo se queda dando vueltas alrededor de nuestro personaje. El otro círculo es de color amarillo y nos muestra la cantidad de escudos o bloqueos automáticos que tenemos y que los mismos se gastaran al bloquear un impacto de algún enemigo, al igual que la magia podemos recoger estos círculos del mismo enemigo especial.

_____ ***screenshot of my monitor*** A lo largo de los niveles podremos conseguir diferentes objetos que los recogemos automáticamente al pasar sobre ellos y estos nos regeneran la salud, nos dan una vida extra o detienen el Reloj del juego ya que una de las mecánicas es terminar el juego en la menor cantidad de tiempo ya que en la lista de niveles nos marca el tiempo general en el cual lo completamos. Como se podría esperar al final de cada nivel tendremos un Jefe el cual debemos derrotar para poder continuar, los diferentes Jefes tienen diseños bastante coloridos y extravagantes en donde en su mayoría son de un tamaño mucho mayor al de la protagonista, un detalle tal vez criticable es que la mayoría de los combates contra los jefes terminan siendo simplemente una carrera de DPS, ir hacia el jefe y golpearlo lo más rápido posible para que muera antes de que pierdas una vida, debido a que no existe maniobra evasiva y el movimiento del personaje no es muy ágil y preciso resulta casi imposible evitar los ataques enemigos. Esto le puede quitar estrategia y diversión a las batallas de jefe.
