in the summer we get a short spell of direct late evening sunlight in our north facing kitchen window. however in february there is an even shorter spell of softer light reflected from our neighbor's 2nd story window into our kitchen. there were some dried japanese lanterns hanging in the window and there happened to be a bottle on the table by the window. i like how the texture of the wallpaper on the wall opposite the window comes through in the photos
