entry reflections 183: reflections of a split personality

Dissociative identity disorder (DID) is a mental health condition where you have two or more separate personalities that control your behavior at different times. this is a serious condition that requires professional help.

however there is another temporary form of split personality that arises under very specific circumstances

for example at a second hand-shop haphazardly displaying any number of mirrors

this form is not the least bit serious. in fact it can be downright fun and fascinating. a common side effect is for the victim to attempt to maximize the numbers of mirrors it is possible to be represented in

it is easy enough to cure. all one has to do is leave the premises where the mirrors are arranged.

however it should be noted that while it is perfectly safe, this form of split personality can be contagious

and once discovered it is likely that the condition will quickly spread
