last sunday i was out walking along the coast. it was a wonderful sunny day with a very gentle breeze. inside a cove by some docks the water was almost glassy.
so near the winter solstice the sun remains low in the sky even at noon and sets by 3 PM
so when we are lucky enough to get any sun at all it is golden hour pretty much all day
i have never been to this place when it's really cold but i suspect this water may freeze. if the wind is light and there is no snow i will try to come back and see these rocks with ice.
here in this area there are some big crystals embedded in the rock. i have recently learned the stone is larvikite and these crystals polish up to a beautiful shiny blue.
this whole series was taken in one spot on a longer walk. tomorrow i will post more photos from the day in wednesdaywalk and also some in monomad
happy holidays to all reflection hunters.
