Reflection Hunters Contest ~ Round 148

Hello everyone the new year is here and I wish everyone of you nothing but the best in 2024. Here I am again to share with you some reflections I have found the last few days. There's only one place that I will share these and that is at the Reflection Hunters Contest hosted by @olgavita If you want to join this competition just click here.

My reflection journey for Round 148 began on Tuesday. I went for a bit of a chilly walk on a nature trail that I didn't know existed. I actually stumbled upon it at a small city park. More than half way through my walk the forest had an opening. I took the opportunity to take a picture of a river which included a traffic bridge. The river in this photo is a muddy bottom river and it's not often you see reflections in it. I'm glad this day it did even though the reflection is some what partial of the bridge itself. The name of the river is the Missouri River which is the longest river in the United States. The bridge is the Veterans Memorial Bridge which connects Iowa and Nebraska.

After the walk it did start to get dark quick. Since I live in Iowa I had to drive on that said bridge. The walk is over and I have crossed the bridge. Everything I just did is now in the rear view mirror, hehe. I like this shot because you can see the bridge and get to see the sun starting to set. There is also a reflection of the vents in the windshield. Lastly, its proof that I keep my car smelling good with a Christmas tree looking air freshener 😊

The rest of the reflections I will show you are from the building I work in and were taken on Thursday. First up is two shots of vending machines I took from two different angles. The first one has reflections of the wall to the left of it and some of the carpeted floor with a chair. On the wall is a bulletin board and a small framed map. The second reflection is of a curtain sliding map that can be used to divide the room into two.

Next up is a customer counter which has the glass windows shut. I took one of the reflections from a distance away while the other one was close up. The reflections are basically the same. The one I took up close is much more clearer. The reflection is of me and a bulletin board on the wall behind me.

I decided to see what I could calture on the other side of the customer counter. Nothing really at all in the window but I did catch some reflections on the glass on the counter top. I captured the refections of the hand sanitizer, the signs on the glass windows, and the ceiling LED Bulbs. I gave it a shot from a different angle which shows some LED bulbs better.

Sometimes a picture takes on more than what was painted. In this case a lot of LED bulbs are reflected on it. May not brighten the picture but it gives it more substance. Do you agree? If you look closely under the lights you can see some of the room. Do you see the ladder? Anyways some ballast needed replaced and new lights were put in. As you can see in the reflection a lot are working.

Here we have a shiny chrome plated trash can. I hope you don't think everything associated with a garbage can is trash. Here you can see much of the room that it's in. There is also a full body view of the photographer. What a treat huh? You won't find many full body views on the chain of me 😉 Cherish it or scroll away from it, haha.

Well this is it for reflections from me. Which one was your favorite? I had a few favorites and it is always challenging for me to pick just one for the entry. I was in between I probably picked the wrong one but that's ok. To me its more about sharing several of them than winning with one. The important part is I had so much fun searching and finding. If you are one that entered this week I truly wish you the best luck. Well I'm happy to share here again and now it's time for me to check out some of yours.

Take care, stay safe, and hope you have a great weekend coming soon. Until next time!
