I am proud to be an Indonesian citizen with a lot of nationalism contained in it. but there is one thing that makes me sick and it seems as if it has become flesh and blood and a habit and as if this habit has become a normal culture in Indonesia, namely the large number of officials, both regional and central, who commit corruption, even when they are caught committing corruption, they are not ashamed. just apologized and lowered his head but still smiled proudly when the reporter's camera focused on his face. but whatever it is, I realize that nothing is perfect in this world, everyone has their own dark side.
like the building seen in my post this time. This building is a port in Tongging Village, North Sumatra Province and this port has been around for a long time, even though it is just a place for boats to dock for the residents of the village to cross to the next village. and recently the local government built this port so that it would be more lively and have a proper building so that the village community could be proud of it. This building is not yet 100 percent complete. There is still a lot of work to be done on this building and when I went to the port, this building was not even one year old, but try to pay attention to this building.
If I saw the initial design of this building, it was very good, from the start the style of the building was a little striking from the other buildings around the building. The upper walls of the building are made with an abstract Batik motif with a white background and brown patterns. and this building directly faces Lake Toba as an icon of pride for the people of North Sumatra. The view is very beautiful when seen from this building. and I could find rooms that were still empty and seemed abandoned.
As I said, this building is not 100 percent complete, however, it turns out that many parts of the building are missing and not well maintained. even though the prospects for this building are very good if the finances are managed properly. The vehicle parking area is quite large, the beautiful view has its own attraction but they themselves destroyed this building, there was a lot of rubbish strewn about and unnecessary graffiti on the walls. the building was dirty and the smell of urine reached my sense of smell.
In front of the building which is directly facing Lake Toba there is an iron barrier so that no victims fall into the lake. then at another corner where we can cross with a small boat, I have to pass through the corridor as a link. and try to pay attention to the hallway, especially the roof. I don't understand whether the roof hasn't been finished or whether there are natural factors causing the roof of the building to fly off, or whether there are not enough funds. this is beyond reason. However, it is truly a shame that this building, which should have been beautiful, has become unmanageable due to the loss of funds, which is very clear how it ended. and until my next visit, after several months, this building had not seen any changes, in fact the building was only getting worse. and I'm curious if it's like that in your country too, are there any abandoned but unfinished buildings like this port. I really hope that when I go to Tongging Village for tourism again I will see this building with 100 percent completion.
Hopefully, and wait for my next post about this building and I will tell it again to all of you here. Greetings Tomidiwirja, Indonesia
