I have traveled to Bangkok City in Thailand a number of times since I have been living in Thailand although that is not my home base, I live on Phuket Island, I am not a real city person I much prefer to be close to beaches but if, I had to live in a big city like Bangkok city, it would not be a issue for me, it would be the one city on this planet that I would be quite content to live in.

Bangkok city with a population of 16 million people is a city that never sleeps and that would be the main reason I wouldn't mind living in this amazing city not only for the nightlife and varieties of delicious street foods but also for the reason it's a very modern city where you can find anything you desire.

When friendlymoose@friendlymoose hosted this theme "GLASS" for his #pobphotocontest I immediately thought of Bangkok city which I call "Bangkok the city of Designer Glass" there is one thing I like about a city that is colored glass skyscrapers and Bangkok city has no shortage of them.

Every time I visit Bangkok city I spend most of my time walking the streets around the city looking up I have never seen so many designs and shapes of glass skyscrapers in one city from what I had heard about Asian countries been 3rd World countries, I see now that this is totally not true I would say my country of Australia is the 3rd world country you walk into shopping malls here like Terminal 21 Mall, Paragon Mall or the IconSiam Mall and it's like walking into a palace puts our western malls to shame.

There are a number of amazingly designed skyscrapers in Bangkok city I can talk about forever but the one that is the most fascinates to me is the Mahanakhon Cube Tower, I call it the Lego Tower it's totally made out of glass panels but in a very strange way as if they have left pieces out and not completed the Lego building, it stands at a height of 314 meters with 79 floors it's the tallest skyscrapers in Bangkok city at the moment with a rooftop sky bar with the most amazing 360 degree views of Bangkok city.

So don't be fooled about Bangkok city been a 3rd world country it is far from that, It's a city you can easily fall in love with, yes it is a crazy big city but it has great vibes and charm and a cheap city to live in once you have visited this city you will never stop coming back.
