Greetings #architectureanddesign friends! I hope your weekend was excellent and restful. Here on the island it was a bit wet, as some heavy rains came in, but we always had some time to be with the family.
I want to show you today a place I had the opportunity to visit: the restaurant “El Punto Criollo”, located on Igualdad street in the city of Porlamar, in the state of Nueva Esparta, on Margarita Island.
¡Saludos amigos de #architectureanddesign! Espero que su fin de semana haya sido excelente y descansado. Acá en la Isla fue un tanto mojado, pues entraron unas lluvias intensas, pero siempre tuvimos un tiempo para estar en familia.
Les quiero mostrar hoy un lugar que tuve la oportunidad de conocer: el restaurante “El Punto Criollo”, ubicado en la calle Igualdad en la ciudad de Porlamar, en el estado Nueva Esparta, en Isla Margarita.
This restaurant has a modern and varied architecture that makes the place very cozy. It has two entrances: the main entrance, which is on Equality Street, and the other is through the parking lot. I left my car in the parking lot and went around the street to enter through the main entrance, so I could appreciate everything.
From the moment you arrive at the door, you are greeted by a doll that is a very unique waiter. Apparently it is made of plaster; I couldn't resist and I touched it. Right next to it they put the chef's suggestion of the day.
Este restaurante tiene una arquitectura moderna y muy variada que hace el lugar muy acogedor. Tiene dos entradas: la principal, que es por la calle Igualdad, y la otra es por el parqueo. Yo dejé el carro en el parqueo y di la vuelta a la calle para entrar por su entrada principal, para poder apreciar bien todo.
Desde que llegas a su puerta, te recibe un muñeco que es un mesonero muy singular. Al parecer es de yeso; no pude resistirme y lo toqué. Justo a su lado ponen la sugerencia del día del chef.
As you enter, you see a golden aluminum and glass door, a varnished tongue and groove ceiling from which hang some lamps that not only illuminate the space, but also add a touch of elegance and warmth, contrasting nicely with everything.
Al entrar, ves una puerta de aluminio dorado y vidrios, un techo de machihembrado muy barnizado del cual penden unas lamparitas que no solo iluminan el espacio, sino que también añaden un toque de elegancia y calidez, contrastando muy bien con todo.
From the ceiling also hangs a decorated wood welcoming you. I could perceive a cozy and very familiar atmosphere.
Del techo también pende una madera decorada dando la bienvenida. Pude percibir un ambiente acogedor y muy familiar.
The columns at the entrance are cylindrical concrete columns, very nice. All the other columns in the building are square, covered with slabs on the lower part.
Las columnas de la entrada son cilíndricas de hormigón, muy bonitas. Todas las demás del local son cuadradas, revestidas con losas en la parte inferior.
On the columns there is wooden furniture hanging from them, where the menu cards and trays used by the employees to bring the service are placed.
En las columnas hay unos muebles de madera que cuelgan de ellas, donde se colocan las cartas de menú y las bandejas que los empleados utilizan para traer el servicio.
Another thing I liked when I went inside was that the rest of the restaurant had a plate ceiling with very good lighting, and that is important to me. It had round lights recessed in its ceiling at safe distances, and its centralized air is ideal to mitigate the heat of the Island.
Otra de las cosas que me gustó al adentrarme fue que el resto del restaurante tenía un techo de placa con muy buena iluminación, y eso para mí es importante. Tenía luces redondas empotradas en su techo a distancias prudenciales, y su aire centralizado es ideal para mitigar el calor de la Isla.
This restaurant has two floors, but only the first floor is open at the moment. The floor of the whole place is covered with clear slabs, which helps to make everything look bright and clean.
Este restaurante tiene dos plantas, pero solo está abierta la planta baja en estos momentos. El piso de todo el local está cubierto de losas claras, lo que ayuda a que todo se vea claro y limpio.
The chairs are of a Creole style of wood and leather, like the stools used in country areas, all painted black. The tables are made of wood also painted black, nicely decorated with tablecloths and a glass top.
Las sillas son de un estilo criollo de madera y piel, como los taburetes que se usan en zonas de campo, todos tintados de negro. Las mesas son de madera igualmente pintadas de negro, muy bien decoradas con los manteles y un vidrio en la parte superior.
Its walls are covered with flagstone on the lower part, and the upper part is nicely decorated with paintings by different artists, which give a very homey atmosphere.
Sus paredes están cubiertas de losa en la parte inferior, y la superior está muy bien decorada con cuadros de diferentes artistas, que dan un ambiente muy hogareño.
Also hanging from its walls are different screens that show different musical programs or important matches of the moment, so that customers feel at ease during their stay.
También penden de sus paredes diferentes pantallas que plasman diversos programas musicales o partidos importantes del momento, para que los clientes se sientan a gusto en su estancia.
It is a cozy, familiar and somewhat informal restaurant, but with exquisite food that invites you to return. After enjoying the restaurant, I left through the door leading to the parking lot.
Es un restaurante acogedor, familiar y un tanto informal, pero con una comida exquisita que te invita a regresar. Después de disfrutar del restaurante, salí por la puerta que da al parqueo.
