Hello dear hivers, as many of you know, I like to show you the places where I usually go, either when I go to work or when I go to do some business, like today. For that reason, I will share my experience in the #Architectureanddesign community, to which I send my good wishes for this week.
I'll start by telling you that the first thing I did today was work. I just stopped by the bank, as it was the task of the day. On my way out, I went to the city to hand in a form for my son's English course.
Hola queridos hivers, como muchos saben, me gusta mostrarles los lugares por donde suelo recorrer, ya sea al ir al trabajo o cuando voy haciendo alguna gestión, como hoy. Por esa razón, compartiré mi experiencia en la comunidad de #Architectureanddesign , a la cual le envío mis buenos deseos para esta semana.
Comenzaré contándoles que lo primero que hice en el día fue trabajar. Solo pasé por el banco, pues era la tarea del día. Al salir, me dirigí a la ciudad para entregar una planilla de mi hijo en el curso de inglés.
I was half a block away from the hotel “Puerta del Sol”, where a few weeks ago I had to look for an airline office. I said I would come back and here I am today. This hotel is located in the city of Porlamar, Mariño municipality of Nueva Esparta state, Margarita Island.
Me encontraba a media cuadra del hotel “Puerta del Sol”, en el que hace unas semanas tuve que buscar una oficina de una aerolínea. Dije que regresaría y aquí estoy hoy. Este hotel se encuentra ubicado en la ciudad de Porlamar, municipio Mariño del estado Nueva Esparta, Isla Margarita.
This hotel is an urban hotel and at the same time an executive hotel in these times. That is, if you are from another city, outside the island, and you have to do business on the island, they book you for a night or two nights and then you leave. It is not a tourist hotel as such these days, despite being in the center of the city, because tourists who come to the island prefer to be next to the beaches and more in contact with nature, away from urban pollution. Some years ago it had more affluence, this was commented to me by the kind man who is next to the main door, welcoming us with a peculiar smile.
This building is of modern architecture and has 11 floors. Its exterior is painted white and its glassware is blue. As it is such a slender construction, it can be seen from different points, due to the fact that it was once a very busy hotel.
Este hotel es un hotel urbano y a su vez ejecutivo en estos tiempos. Es decir, si eres de otra ciudad, fuera de la isla, y tienes que hacer una gestión empresarial en la isla, te reservan una noche o dos noches y luego te marchas. No es un hotel de turistas como tal en estos tiempos, a pesar de estar en lo más céntrico de la ciudad, porque los turistas que llegan a la isla prefieren estar al lado de las playas y más en contacto con la naturaleza, lejos de la contaminación urbana. Hace algunos años sí tenía más afluencia, esto me lo comentó el amable señor que se encuentra al lado de la puerta principal, recibiendonos con una peculiar sonrisa.
Esta edificación es de una arquitectura moderna y cuenta con 11 pisos. Su exterior está pintado de blanco y su cristalería es de color azul. Como es una construcción tan esbelta, se puede ver desde diversos puntos, debido a haber sido en sus tiempos un hotel muy concurrido.
At the entrance, just to the right, stands the Venezuelan flag and the municipal flag.
En la entrada, justo a mano derecha, erige la bandera de Venezuela y la municipal.
As you walk up the steps to the main entrance, you can see a large eave that is covered with wood with recessed lights very well placed at close range, providing excellent lighting.
Al subir los escalones de la entrada principal, se puede apreciar un gran alero que se encuentra recubierto de madera con luces empotradas muy bien ubicadas a corta distancia, proporcionando una excelente iluminación.
To enter, the first thing you see is a large, round, beautiful wooden doorknob, which stands out enormously on the glass door.
Para entrar, lo primero que ves es un gran picaporte redondo de madera hermoso, que resalta enormemente en la puerta de vidrio.
Upon entering, it is striking for its well-polished brown granite floor that covers much of the floor and right in the middle is a large glass and wood table.
Al entrar, es impactante su piso de granito bien pulido de color marrón que cubre gran parte del suelo y justo en el medio una gran mesa de cristal y madera.
To go up to the first level, you can do it by a beautiful wooden staircase that is next to the stone fountain that is located on one side of the room. This small fountain is made of stones simulating a waterfall, the water seems to be gushing from the wall, it is really beautiful.
Para subir al primer nivel, lo puedes hacer por unas hermosas escaleras de madera que están junto a la fuente de piedras que se encuentra a un costado del salón. Esta pequeña fuente es de piedras simulando una cascada, el agua pareciera que brota de la pared, es realmente hermosa.
From the first floor you could appreciate its small wooden balcony and the beautiful ceiling lamps.
Desde la planta baja se podía apreciar su pequeño balcón de maderas y las bellas lámparas de techo.
Its large columns are also clad with brown granite combined with gray ornaments.
Sus grandes columnas también están revestidas con granito marrón combinado con adornos de color gris.
In some of its corridors, the floor is of lighter granite, as if it were beige, with squares making a pattern and very polished.
En algunos de sus pasillos, el suelo es de granito más claro, como si fuera de color beige, con cuadros haciendo un dibujo y muy pulido.
In some areas of the ceiling there are cornices with a slightly dimmer light, depending on the area of the hotel.
En algunas áreas del techo hay unas cornisas con una luz un poco más tenue, eso depende del área del hotel.
Each area is decorated differently so you can choose the place that makes you feel the best, whether it's the large wicker chairs or relaxing in the pool surrounded by palm trees.
Cada área está decorada de manera diferente para que escojas el lugar que te haga sentir mejor, ya sea las amplias sillas de mimbre o relajarte en su piscina rodeada de palmeras.
On the first floor there is a cafeteria, which particularly caught my attention because it has plants. I really like the contrast of the green of the plants in the different areas, it makes me feel comfortable, as if I were in a natural environment.
En la planta baja cuenta con una cafetería, que a mí en lo particular me llamó mucho la atención por tener plantas. Me gusta mucho el contraste del verde de las plantas en las diferentes áreas, eso me hace sentir cómoda, como si estuviera en un ambiente natural.
I could only show the ground floor because that is what I was allowed to show and I hope, dear friends of Architecture and Design, that it was to your liking. I really enjoyed this tour of the Puerta del Sol Hotel. I will see you again in another of my tours appreciating different architectures.
