Han sido varias las remodelaciones y mejoras que se hicieron desde sus primeras estructuras, es por ello que la edificación posee distintos estilos arquitectónicos de los cuales intentaré hacer una breve reseña.
The history around the construction of this church is very extensive, but as an important aspect we can highlight that its construction began in 1535 and it was the conqueror Francisco de Pizarro who decided to lay the first stone to start the work.
There have been several renovations and improvements that were made since its first structures, which is why the building has different architectural styles of which I will try to make a brief review.

For now I can only talk about the main facade because it was the only thing I could enjoy during my visit since the entrance was full that day. This building functions as a religious museum open to the public for a very affordable entrance fee, which is ideal for a guided tour.
From what I have been able to read and see through the photos on the web, the interior of the basilica is much more amazing than its imposing facade. Filled with many religious works of art and many stories to tell, for this reason, I can't wait to go back and I hope to bring a very good camera so I can take some amazing pictures and share them with all of you.
