The temple of the body / El templo del cuerpo

"Just as the body is the temple of the soul, so the home is the temple of the body". Or something like that I have always heard said at home, where in addition to focusing on being a united family, we always seek to take care of the harmony of the physical space. And inspired by this idea and by how interesting interior design is to me -a subject I have not studied at an academic level- and with the aim of surprising one of my best friends who wants to redecorate the hall and the rooms of her current home; I decided to make my first design project, which I am encouraged to share, also for the first time, in this community.
To make my project I was reviewing applications that exist for interior design, which currently are many and offer a range of very interesting tools to be used by professionals in the sector. I finally decided on ArchiCAD, which is a software with a fairly simple interface.

O algo así escuché decir siempre en casa, en donde además de enfocarnos en ser una familia unida, buscamos siempre cuidar la armonía del espacio físico. E inspirada por esta idea y por lo interesante que me resulta el diseño de interiores –tema que no he estudiado a nivel académico- y con el objetivo de sorprender a una de mis mejores amigas que desea redecorar el recibidor y las habitaciones de su actual vivienda; decidí hacer mi primer proyecto de diseño, el cual me animo a compartir, también por primera vez, en esta comunidad.
Para hacer mi proyecto estuve revisando aplicaciones que existen para el diseño de interiores, que en la actualidad son muchas y ofrecen una gama de herramientas muy interesantes para ser usadas por los profesionales del sector. Finalmente me decidí por ArchiCAD, que es un software con una interfaz bastante sencilla.

In a general way, I decided to mix the modern classic style and the industrial style for the design of the room. In the case of the modern classic style, the elements that denote it are the use of modern decoration but with more traditional details and ornaments such as hardwoods. On the other hand, the industrial style is evidenced by the use of bricks and the combination with gray and metal colors.
In the living room, the area is decorated with paintings because I am a lover of visual arts; and the color used in a part of the walls is red because it is related to vitality and energy, although it is not advisable to abuse this tone in too small spaces because it conveys the feeling of reducing the areas. The sofa used is spacious so that the whole family can enjoy quality time and relaxation together. Next to the staircase, the fish tank that they currently own is kept, as they enjoy animals very much, and especially these species that convey a sense of peace and balance.

De forma general, decidí mezclar el estilo clásico moderno y el estilo industrial para el diseño de la sala. En el caso del estilo clásico moderno, los elementos que lo denotan son el uso de una decoración moderna pero con detalles y ornamentos más tradicionales como maderas nobles. Por otra parte, el estilo industrial, queda evidenciado por el uso de ladrillos y la combinación con colores grises y metal.
En la sala, el área es decorada con cuadros porque soy una amante de las artes visuales; y el color usado en una parte de las paredes es rojo porque está relacionado con la vitalidad y la energía, aunque no es recomendable abusar de esta tonalidad en espacios demasiado pequeños ya que transmite la sensación de reducir las áreas. El sofá usado es amplio para que toda la familia pueda disfrutar de tiempo de calidad y esparcimiento juntos. Al lado de la escalera se mantiene la pecera que actualmente poseen, ya que disfrutan mucho de los animales, y de manera especial de estas especies que transfieren sensación de paz y equilibrio.

In the case of the master bedroom, I continue with the use of red on the walls to continue with the decoration dynamics and also because it is the color that symbolizes the passion and durability of the couple's relationship, combining it with the white marquetry to accentuate the feeling of clarity and light.

En el caso del cuarto matrimonial, continúo con el uso de rojo en paredes para seguir con la dinámica de decoración y además porque es el color que simboliza la pasión y la durabilidad de las relaciones de pareja, combinando con la marquetería blanca para acentuar la sensación de claridad y luz.

In the second room I predominantly use white because it is associated with order, cleanliness and tranquility, and it is recommended for spaces dedicated to rest for children and young people for the relaxing effect it provides.
In the case of my friend, who represents the potential client who will actually carry out this project -in case it is to her liking- I also took into account keeping the furniture she currently has in her house, such as beds, closets and dining room sets, which are still in good condition, and finding a suitable location for the electrical equipment (TV and computer); in order to reduce the level of expenses associated with the execution of the work.
My greatest desire is to continue perfecting my knowledge of interior design and help my friend to make the "temple of her body" more comfortable... I have not yet shown her this surprise, so I would love to hear the criteria of all design and architecture lovers to improve my project.

En la segunda habitación uso de forma predominante el color blanco porque se asocia con el orden, la limpieza y la tranquilidad, y es recomendable para los espacios dedicados al descanso para niños y jóvenes por el efecto relajante que brinda.
En el caso de mi amiga, que representa el cliente potencial que llevará a vías de hecho el presente proyecto –en caso de que resulte de su gusto- también tuve en cuenta mantener el mobiliario que actualmente posee en su casa como camas, armarios y juegos de comedor, que aún están en buen estado de conservación y buscar una ubicación adecuada de los equipos eléctricos (televisor y computadora); para disminuir el nivel de gastos asociados a la ejecución de la obra.
Mi mayor deseo es seguir perfeccionando mis conocimientos sobre el interiorismo y ayudar a mi amiga a hacer más confortable el "templo de su cuerpo"… Todavía no le muestro esta sorpresa, así que me encantaría escuchar el criterio de todos los amantes del diseño y la arquitectura para mejorar mi proyecto.
