This visit to the Unicentro Shopping Center is the first since I returned to these parts, I had spoken quite well of this new structure destined to be one of the busiest for those who live in the city of Maracay, especially in the central area. This place is quite close to the Hyper Jumbo Mall (two blocks away), a structure that I shared in my previous post in this community. Now, speaking from the point of view of business or economy, why build a Mall very close to another, well, the truth is a question that I do not understand, but surely must have some logic.
This mall is located on Avenida José Casanova Godoy at the height of the Parque Aragua Urbanization, a place that I consider is quite strategic considering that it is close to areas with a lot of activity such as Las Delicias, Urbanización Base Aragua, La Floresta, among other popular areas that can certainly have direct interest in a shopping center of this type, and well, I say this because while it is true that there are others in that radius, the Unicentro has a much more updated and innovative environment, so I think that as a result of that many people are attracted to this mall built in 2019.
So, what you will see below is the façade or entrance to the mall. You can see that the green areas have a high priority in the appearance of the structure and that is something that I particularly loved. From the first moment you make eye contact you can see bushes of different types and colors, flowers and small trees. The pedestrian entrance is through a bridge that directly overlooks a mural of bushes that has the logo of the mall in gray, it is really very nice.
After the entrance, there is a boulevard that is mostly a food court, the outdoor tables make eating there very pleasant as you breathe fresh air and additionally you have the beautiful view of the mall. There are also other commercial establishments and common rest areas with wooden benches that look quite comfortable. From the boulevard you have a direct view of the two wings of the structure.
The inside is not very big, but it is very well distributed and has air conditioning, good light and stores that are mostly clothing, but there are also other establishments like those you would find in any mall. I am very impressed by the entrance of natural light through windows that are strategically located, that makes artificial light is not necessary on the second floor at least during the day. We can also find the Forum supermarket, a national franchise that came to set up its first establishment in this city.
Now, once I was on the second floor, I looked at the roof of the central area of the boulevard and I could find something very interesting, it turns out that from my point of view is more than a roof and is that it has artificial grass and two white structures in which one is superimposed on another, I do not know if this has an operational purpose or is just decorative, but it looks pretty cool. Another thing I noticed is that from that point you have a direct view of the coastal mountain range, the mountains look beautiful and merge perfectly with the sky, I guess it was a good day.
My first visit to the Unicentro Shopping Center left me with very good impressions, it is clean, sober, small, but comfortable. I think it is an interesting and innovative proposal for those who are used to walk through the malls, but from my point of view it lacks at least a small cinema, I think it is a fundamental attraction in these places. It was a pleasure to share with you what is the newest mall in my city. Greetings!
