La "Caracas Design Week" fué una nueva iniciativa para promover el movimiento cultural en Caracas; evento que inició el 3 de Junio y culminó el 10 de Junio, promocionado con el lema "El Diseño toma Caracas"
Evento que se apodero de las calles de Las Mercedes.
El principal propósito de la Caracas Design Week fue mezclar lo cultural, lo comercial y lo artístico; propiciando un ambiente en el cual artistas, diseñadores, escultores y toda persona involucrada en el mundo del Diseño y la creatividad; tuvo espacio para exponer su trabajo; así como divulgar su estilo de vida y acercar su arte al ciudadano apasionado.
Por cuestión de tiempo; no pude ir a todos los eventos de la Design Week; pero fui al que más me llamaba la atención.
The Caracas Design Week, was a new initiative to promote the cultural movement in Caracas; an event that started on June 3rd and ended on June 10th, promoted under the slogan "Design takes Caracas", the Caracas Design Week that took over the streets of Las Mercedes; for a whole week.
The main purpose of Caracas Design Week was to mix the cultural, the commercial and the artistic; promoting an environment in which artists, designers, sculptors and everyone involved in the world of Design and creativity; had space to exhibit his work; as well as divulge their lifestyle and bring their art closer to the passionate citizen.
Because of time; I couldn't go to all the events of the Caracas Design Week; but I went to the one that caught my attention the most.
La exposición de maquetas de estudiantes de arquitectura, de universidades como la Universidad Central de Venezuela, la Universidad Simón Bolívar y la Universidad Católica Andrés Bello.
Tres excelentes universidad a nivel nacional; en los cuales se han formado excelentes profesionales en el área de la construcción.
The exhibition of models by architecture students from universities such as the Universidad Central de Venezuela, the Universidad Simón Bolívar and the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello. Three excellent universities at the national level; in which excellent professionals have been trained in the construction area.

No estábamos seguras del lugar de la exposición; así que fuimos al stand principal, ubicado en la Av. Principal de las Mercedes.
Allí, vimos los puntos de encuentro de interés, los patrocinadores y dirección de las exposiciones.
I went with my best friend who is also an architect.
We weren't sure of the location of the exhibition; so we went to the main stand, located on the main avenue of Las Mercedes.
There, we saw the meeting points of interest, the sponsors and the direction of the exhibitions.
A partir de allí, caminamos hasta el local donde estaba la exposición; una tienda de muebles de diseño llamada “The Muebles”; al llegar, ya habían algunas personas observando la exposición.
From there, we walked to the place where the exhibition was; a furniture store called "The Muebles"; when we arrived, there were already some people observing the exhibition.

Mis trabajos favoritos de los vistos fueron; este proyecto, en el cual; el fin era mostrar un proceso constructivo donde tuviera el fin de demostrar un Estructura que se soportara a si misma; y también fuese una fábrica.
My favorite works were; this project, in which; the purpose was to show a construction process where it had the purpose of demonstrating a structure that supported itself; and it was also a factory.
Este proyectos; está enfocado en la recuperación de un espacio existente en el casco histórico de Petare; la maqueta busca representar los llenos y vacíos en el proyecto; así como el flujo de circulación a lo largo del complejo; siendo el modelo inferior, la muestra completa del proyecto; y el superior, un corte longitudinal del mismo; donde se aprecia el juego arquitectonico en el diseño del edificio.
This project; focused on the recovery of an existing space in the historic center of Petare; the model seeks to represent the fillings and voids in the project; as well as the circulation flow along the complex; being the lower model, the complete project; and the upper one, a longitudinal cut of the same; where the architectural game is appreciated in the design of the building.
Este otro proyecto, muestra una maqueta, super bella y detallada de corte longitudinal.
Lastimosamente, no escuché con tanto detalle el motivo de este proyecto; pero los acabados y detalles; son preciosos, detallados; sobre todo al ser un trabajo hecho en madera balsa.
This other project shows a beautiful and detailed longitudinal cut model.
Unfortunately, I didn't hear the details of this project; but the finishes are beautiful; especially since it is a work made of balsa wood.
Este seria la vista contraria a esta maqueta.
This would be the opposite view of this model; on both sides; the detail is noticed at the time of realization and assembly.
Habian muchas mas maquetas expuestas; pero no le tome fotos a todas. Solo a las que llamaron más mi atencion por el acabado y por la intencion del proyecto.
There were many more models exhibited; but I didn't take pictures of all of them. Only the ones that caught my attention more for the finish and for the intention of the project.
El proposito de la exposicion; fue, motivar a los estudiantes y arquitectos, a valorar el uso de las maquetas; más alla de la existencia de los renders y de softwares de diseño 3d; el arquitecto, no solo es un diseñador de espacios, sino tambien un artesano; que imprime su corazón en cada proyecto.
The purpose of the exhibition was to motivate students and architects to value the use of models; beyond the existence of renders and 3d design software; the architect is not only a space designer, but also a craftsman; who imprints his heart in each project.
