I like to write in this group, because researching beautiful places, and in particular their architectural and stylistic solutions, is a matter that brings me aesthetic pleasure. Therefore, already on a regular basis, I write posts about the cities that I had the good fortune to visit.

я люблю писати у цю групу, адже дослідження прекрасних місць, а зокрема їх архітектурних і стилістичних рішень є справою, що приносить мені естетичне задоволення. Тому, уже на регулярній основі я пишу пости про міста, які мала щастя відвідувати.
But I noticed that all the posts I wrote were about the Netherlands, and I never wrote about Ukraine. For this reason, today I want to talk about the capital of my beautiful country - Kyiv.
Та я помітила, що всі написані мною дописи були про Нідерланди, а про Україну я ні разу не писала. З цієї причини сьогодні я хочу розповісти про столицю моєї прекрасної країни - Київ.
"How not to love you, my Kyiv?" - one of the legendary songs about love for the capital. The composition was relevant both 50 years ago and now, because even though time passes, the beautiful, old Kyiv, as it stood for thousands of years, still stands and will stand, no matter what. Every year, its beauty and grandeur only increases.
"Як тебе не любити, Києве мій?" - одна з легендарних пісень, що оспівує любов до столиці. Композиція була актуальна як 50 років тому, так і зараз, адже хоч час плине, а прекрасний, старий Київ як стояв пітори тисячі років, так і стоїть і буде стояти, не дивлячись ні на що. Із кожним роком його краса та велич тільки примножується.
In general, Kyiv is not my hometown, but I study at one of the capital's universities, so I go here periodically. Somehow it happened that I don't have many photos of Kyiv streets. But I will correct myself, because the city is really very beautiful and I have a lot to share with you.
Загалом, Київ - не моє рідне місто, але я навчаюся в одному зі столичних університетів, а тому їжджу сюди періодично. Якось так вийшло, що у мене небагато фото київських вулиць. Але я буду виправлятися, адже місто дійсно дуже гарне, і мені є чим поділитися з вами.
Today I want to tell you about Podil.
Podil is a historical district of Kyiv, and therefore the architecture here is authentic, mostly from the end of the 18th - beginning of the 19th century.
Kyiv is famous for its hilly terrain: you are constantly walking from mountain to mountain. The photo shows that the street leads upwards to the pearl of the capital's architecture - St. Andrew's Church. Andriyinsky Uzviz is right next to it - another legendary street of the capital.
Сьогодні я хочу розповісти вам про Поділ.
Поділ - це історичний район Києва, а тому архітектура тут автентична, переважно кінця 18 - початку 19 століття.
Київ знаменитий своїм пагорбистим рельєфом: ти постійно ходиш з гори на гору. На світлині видно, що вулиця веде вверх, до перлини столичної архітектури - Андріївської церкви. Зовсім поряд знаходиться Андріїнський Узвіз - ще одна легендрна вулиця столиці.
In the photo - Uzviz, although it is better to say only a part of it. Entering here, you immerse yourself in a kind of bohemian atmosphere: historical architecture in the style of classicism, eclecticism, if I'm not mistaken, and at every turn cafes, pubs, bars, restaurants. In particular, this photo shows "Drunken Cherry" - a bar where you can drink delicious infusions. And the church looks down on all this "holy life". Personally, I like this kind of singing, there is something in it.
На фото - Узвіз, хоча краще сказати лише його частинка. Заходячи сюди поринаєш у якусь богемну атмосферу: історична архітектура в стилі класицизм, еклектика, якщо я не помиляюсь, і на кожному кроці кафешки, пивні, бари, ресторани. Конкретно на цьому фото видно "П'яну вишню" - бар, у якому можна випити смачні настійки. А зверху на все це "свято життя" дивиться церква. Особисто мені подобається таке поєнання, щось у цьому є.
Why do I adore old Kyiv - it's such a stone masonry! Such masonry adds vintage charm and a special atmosphere to the city. What's more, not only in appearance, but also in sounds: a car driving on a gravel road makes a pleasant crunch, the knocking of heels too... I think you understand me.
I can't help but say about the color scheme of Podil: as you noticed, the architecture is filled in pastel yellow and similar tones. Such is the specificity of Kyiv's historical architecture.
За що я обожнюю старий Київ - так це за кам'янку! Така кладка додає вінтажного шарму та особливої атмосферності місту. При чому, не тільки зовнішнім видом, а й звуками: машина, яка їде по кам'янці видає приємний хрускіт, стукіт каблуків теж...Я думаю, ви зрозуміли мене.
Не можу я не сказати за кольорову гаму Подолу: як ви помітили, архітетектура виповнена в пастельно-жовтих і наближних до цього тонах. Така специфіка київської історичної архітектури.
And again, the building is built obliquely due to the features of the city landscape.
I really like when architecture is not perfect, but has its own features, which are often called flaws. As an example: braid. Do you remember, in the post about Amsterdam, I wrote about "Dancing Houses"? They arose as a result of the fact that the foundation settled over time, and therefore these houses leaned in different directions. In Kyiv, architectural structures often repeat the hilly landscape. And it is so interesting: you, for example, go up the slope, and the house also grows. Maybe it's not something too special, but I like this nuance.
І знову ж, будівля побудована навскоси через особливості ландшафту міста.
Мені дуже подобається, коли архітектура не ідеальна, а має свої особливості, які часто іменують недоліками. Як приклад: косина. Пам'ятаєте, у пості про Амстердам я писала про "Танцюючі будинки"? Вони виникли внаслідок того, що з часом фундамент осів, і тому ці будинки схилились в різні боки. У Києві архітектурні споруди часто повторюють горбистий ландшафт. І це так цікаво: ти, наприклад, піднімаєшся по схилу, і будинок теж виростає. Можливо, це не є чимось надто особливим, але мені до вподоби такий нюанс.
Well, unfortunately, I don't have many photos, so I will finish this little story about Podil. Of course, my post is a "drop in the ocean", because the history and architectural and stylistic decisions of this area are much more interesting and extensive. But whatever, I told her as best I could)

Ну що ж, фото у мене, на жаль, не багато, тому я буду завершувати цю невеличку розповідь про Поділ. Зсвісно, що мій допис - це "капля в морі", адже історія та архітектурно-стилістичні рішення даного району є набагато цікавіші та обширніші. Але що ж, розповіла як змогла)
