It is very important for us as humans who'd definitely relate with others to understand the place and power of empathy in our relationship, empathy is our ability to share in others feelings and relate with them.
Relationship without empathy is like standing on one leg because that relationship is truly not balanced. There are many factors about empathy that contribute to our relationship which I would be looking at.
Factors of empathy
Understanding, as part of the factors that contribute to our relationship, understanding plays a very crucial role in our relationship and it's part of what makes up EMPATHY as a whole. Any relationship that lacks people with understanding would suffer many things for nothing, because understanding helps to withhold anger which we can't dodge in relationship.
The ability to relate with one's feeling. It's also a factor that helps in relationships, the ability to relate with the feeling of others makes them feel understood, most people wants to have people around them that can relate with them easily, it's because it would definitely mean you understood what they felt.
Lastly, the ability to share the feeling of others, to share in the feeling of others doesn't mean you'd have to experience what they're experiencing at that time, it means to provide solutions and if need be or to provide comfort for that person because it is expected that you understand what that person is facing, so if you were in that person's shoes what would you do, that's the meaning of sharing in someone's feeling.
So possessing empathy as a feature is very beneficial to our relationship, it would relieve us from so many stress in our relationship, it's also important to us because we would definitely have to relate with both people we know and people we don't know wherever we find ourselves.
