Hello dear friends, I hope you are well, this is my first post in this community and I am very happy to be able to share my passion for cycling. Today I took a tour of the city, about 10 km, I usually play basketball but now I have a hand injury that prevents me from playing for now, so my bicycle is my incentive for moments like this.
Hola queridos amigos, espero que se encuentren muy bien, esta es mi primera publicación en esta comunidad y estoy muy contento de poder compartir mi pasión por la bicicleta. El día de hoy hice un recorrido por la ciudad, de unos 10 km, suelo practicar basket pero ahora me encuentro lesionado de una mano que me impide jugar por ahora, así que mi bicicleta es mi aliciente para momentos así.
I left in the afternoon, at 5 pm, I did not have a defined route, so I took a route that I did in previous years when I went to university, so I visited places that I had not visited for a long time, the best of all is At that time the streets were a little empty so riding a bike was a pleasant experience.
Salí en horas de la tarde, a las 5 pm, no tenía una ruta definida, así que hice un recorrido que hacía en años anteriores cuando iba para la universidad, así que visité lugares que tenía mucho tiempo sin transitar, lo mejor de todo es que a esa hora las calles estaban un poco vacías por lo que rodar en bici fue una experiencia placentera.
I traveled 5 km without stopping, and my first stop was at the airport of my city, known as Barquisimeto, in my country Venezuela. I think I would have been around here for about 3 years, as you can see everything was very lonely, perfect for running at full speed, things I did without thinking twice. I put the bike in gear especially for flat places to develop enough speed. I spent a while here looking at the landscape, and also my old university.
Recorrí 5 km sin parar, y mi primera parada fue en el aeropuerto de mi ciudad, conocida como Barquisimeto, en mi país Venezuela. Creo que tendría como 3 años sin pasar por aquí, como pueden ver todo estaba muy solo, perfecto para correr a toda velocidad, cosas que hice sin pensarlo dos veces. Puse la marcha de la bicicleta especialmente para lugares llanos y así desarrollar bastante velocidad. Aquí estuve un rato mirando el paisaje, y también mi antigua universidad.
I then continued my route, I had to go around the entire airport along an avenue of more than 1 km, again it was the right moment to drive at full speed, the best thing was that there were almost no traffic lights, so the journey was incredible. I love how my bike flies down the road.
Seguidamente seguí mi recorrido, tuve que rodear todo el aereopuerto por una avenida de más de 1 km, otra vez fue el momento propicio para manejar a toda velocidad, lo mejor es que no había casi semáforos, así que el desplazamiento fue increíble. Adoro como mi bicicleta vuela por el camino.
I arrived at my destination, a viewpoint that is located on the other side of the airport, from here you can see the great Turbio valley, where a river of the same name flows, in this river many indigenous tribes lived together many centuries ago and were later conquered. by the Spanish, it is a land very rich in history with an environment overflowing with life. In the background you can see the other end of the city, and behind that mountain is another city, which ends in this great valley. I really like coming to this place, in my childhood I used to come with my father, with whom I flew kites because the wind is very strong, without a doubt a place with many memories and that fills me with a lot of peace.
Llegué a mi destino, un mirador que se encuentra al otro lado del aeropuerto, desde aquí se puede observar el gran valle del Turbio, por donde fluye un río del mismo nombre, en este río convivieron hace muchos siglos numerosas tribus indígenas que luego fueron conquistadas por los españoles, es una tierra muy rica en historia con ambiente rebosante de vida. Al fondo puede observarse el otro extremo de la ciudad, y detrás de esa montaña se encuentra otra ciudad, la cual se encuentra finalizando en este gran valle. Me gusta mucho venir a este lugar, en mi infancia solía venir on mi padre, con quien volaba cometas porque el viento es muy fuerte, sin duda un lugar de muchos recuerdos y que me llena de mucha paz.
I really enjoy the mountains, the view is wonderful, since I lived very far from this place, so seeing them a little closer feels magical. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to take a photo of my bicycle, a 1984 Benotto, a machine that behaves very well on the road. While I was driving I felt that I should do maintenance soon, since I do it every 6 months, so the date is getting closer, and despite the speed reached I still felt that I could do more, so with good complete maintenance it will be as new.
Disfruto mucho las montañas, la vista es maravillosa, ya que vivio muy lejos de este lugar, así que contemplarlas un poco más de cerca se siente mágico. No pude dejar pasar la oportunidad de tomarle foto a mi bicicleta, una Benotto año 1984 una máquina que se comporta muy bien en la carretera. Mientras iba manejando sentí que ya pronto debo hacerle mantenimiento, ya que cada 6 meses se lo realizo, por lo que se acerca la fecha, y a pesar de la velocidad alcanzada aún sentía que podía dar más, por lo que con un buen mantenimiento completo quedará como nueva.
On the way back to my house, I stopped for a few minutes at the main monument of the city, the great obelisk, from where you can see beautiful sunsets. This was this little tour through the west of the city, I hope you enjoyed it, I'm thinking about buying a mountain bike to expand my adventures a little more, I hope to be able to do it soon. Ya de regreso a mi casa, me detuve unos minutos en el monumento principal de la ciudad, el gran obelisco, desde donde se pueden observar hermosos atardeceres. Así fue este pequeño recorrido por el oeste de la ciudad, espeor lo hayan disfrutado, estoy pensando en comprar una bicicleta montañera para expandir un poco más mis aventuras, espero poder hacerlo pronto.
