My POV on the new announcement of SPL

Hi there,
For the past couple of days, things have been hot in the Maverick channel because of a new and shocking announcement of staff reduction and restructuring. I have been observing things quietly and didn't want to talk about them. I have seen the worst days of splinterlands and I've always been very positive about the future of splinterlands. I got some DM's from new players. They asked me since i am an old player of this game and have been around since the beginning what are my thoughts on new announcements.

My POV

As of my knowledge, no one can predict the future of any blockchain game. The future of any project can be uncertain. The success and longevity of any project depend on various factors. For example,

1.) User Adoption

We all know bringing new users is more important. Unfortunately, game complexity and rewards are not very attractive to new users. Imagine you are spending lots of dollars and you don't even get back your investment. In order to play splinterlands you have to be very smart. I know some players personally who are doing so great in the game and they don't own big cards. Just they know how to make the maximum of their efforts. Not everyone is very smart in this field hence end up crying or complaining. The current gaming system doesn't support new users so I seriously don't know how a team will look into it. I am not a business student so i don't know the complexities of any project. I am hoping for golden days ahead.

2.) Market trends

I was looking at market trends and they aren't impressive either. Dec and sps keep dipping and I am a little afraid of what is coming in the future. It's kind of depressing when you own lots of assets in the game :P XD Well fighting should be our spirit :p

3.) Development progress

Splinterlands has come so far and development is really appreciatable. But it is kind of slow atm. We are anxiously waiting for Land 1.5 and a new set the cards. I am not annoyed I am actually chill because i think i still need time to collect resources for my land :P

To get a better understanding of developments, partnerships, and user engagement and to know where Splinterland is standing in the evolving landscape of games. We need to have faith in the splinterlands team and closely pay attention to all new announcements and updates. I have been ignorant lately but after my semester break, I am going to pay a lot of attention to the game. I need to figure out my next step regarding land.

I am still very positive about the game's success and longevity. So please all those new players who are very scared of the uncertain future of the splinterlands i would like to say have faith and keep going.
