Being the best

I stared thoughtful at the screen: the camera was steady. It captured a muscular young man dashing through the tracks. His face was a picture of determination; he seemed to be propelled by the wind, as he dashed to the finish line of the 100-meter Sprint. It was all over. He won! More cameras now focused on him as he started his victory run, amidst cheers from the massive crowd. Presently, he threw the bouquet into the cheering crowd as he sportively jogs along.

Just there, a thought struck me as I watched. What happened to the man who came second? - Forgotten! The world has no place for second best; all rooms are reserved for go-getters, conquerors, winners. That is why I want to inspire you to become your best, and soon enough take your victory run through the tracks of divine attainment while aficionados (admirers) standing in the balcony of life celebrate you!

Look forward, think forward, act forward. Every step forward demands that the other foot be left behind, in the similar light, to stay with the past pains is to destroy future gains. Your past is history; your future is a mystery!

Don't let the fear of the unknown or failure tie you down like an unused colt. Only when your desperation exceeds your fear does progress begins. To stay on the same spot is to become a spot, and to remain the same is to end in shame.

You may not like where you are right now in your life - you loathe your job with a strong passion, or probably you are lacking the satisfaction and sense of fulfilment that come in the seeing desired goals attained in your life. But answer this question, "Have you made up your mind to see things change?" A change begins first with a decision in mind. Until your mind is made up, your life is not made up. Are you ready, have you prepared yourself?
You won't improve on your today until you determine tomorrow will be different.
