Yohani, a rap singer and multi-instrumentalist, has become a talking point on social media these days.
She came forward by starting a YouTube channel on March 1, 2016, and has released several songs so far. Her Sinhala songs have over a million views, and her Sinhala pop mashups have over 10 million views. Menike's My Mind song has crossed 50 million views and has become a hit in India as well as the Maldives. She has now crossed the one million subscriber mark on YouTube.
Her YouTube channel has generated a huge audience of 64.2 percent in the last 28 days, of which 54 percent are from India. She also became the first Sri Lankan artist to cross the million mark as a singer.
